LAKE FOREST, Calif., May 31, 2012 (SEND2PRESS NEWSWIRE) — Professional Community Management of California, Inc. (PCM) presented the Lake Forest Community Association’s Community Spirit Team with a matching $300 gift to help residents who demonstrate a financial hardship to complete home repairs that put them in jeopardy with the association’s rules. The work began on the team’s first “heart-ship” case, Patrice Munday on May 14 with the pouring of the cement base with donated work from professional contractor Al Grecco.

On the kick-off day, Friday, May 18, volunteers and the PCM Field Services team removing rotting beams and a brick pilaster and tossing the debris into a donated Waste Management dumpster. They fixed everything up and painted with donated Behr paint, then planted new roses and geraniums donated by the El Toro Road Home Depot in Lake Forest and the association’s Garden Club. All other materials were also graciously donated by the Home Depot.

“This will be the first in a series of donations to the Lake Forest Community Association’s Community Spirit Team,” said Donny Disbro, chief executive officer of PCM. “We are really excited to contribute to this project. PCM is dedicated to improving the communities we serve and stepping in to make sure our homeowners love where they live.”

David Glick, President of the Lake Forest Community Association not only got to work, but he also personally accepted a check from Donny Disbro.

“I’m amazed and grateful for the generosity PCM and everyone involved with the Community Spirit Team,” Munday said. “I’ve lived here for 11 years and this is home for me and my children. I don’t think I’d live anywhere else.”

Celebrating the kick-off were sponsors A.J. Marcoz, General Manager of Home Depot in Lake Forest; Annette Heredia, Pro desk Manager at Home Depot; Mike Mari, Buyer for the Home Depot Garden Department; Tom Maruna of Behr Paint; Liz Juarez of Behr Paint; Michelle Clark of Waste Management; Al Grecco of Connata Construction; Donny Disbro, CEO of PCM; Sue Evans, Director of PCM Field Services; David Pettinger, PCM Field Services technician; and volunteer Lake Forest residents Al Vistaunet, chair of the Community Spirit team, Jim Haines, Dennis Fletcher, Jeff Hackett and Dolores Shore; the lucky homeowner herself, Patrice Munday and her two children, Mysty and Ron; lead by project manager Kim Back, Community Relations Manager of PCM.

“When PCM matched the gift from the Lake Forest Community Association, they created a snowball effect,” said Back, Community Relations Manager at Lake Forest Community Association. “There has been an outpouring of support from the community and to say that Patrice and the team are overwhelmed with gratitude would be an understatement.”

The Lake Forest Community Association’s Community Spirit Team secured generous donations and sponsorships from the association board of directors, Home Depot Lake Forest, Waste Management, Behr Paints, Saddleback Signs, Connata Construction and the Lake Forest Community Association’s Garden Club.

“As the Lost Pet Coordinator for the Lake Forest Community Association, Patrice and her daughter, Mysty have reunited so many of their neighbors with their lost pets,” Disbro said. “PCM and her neighbors felt it was our turn to lend a helping hand.”
