DENVER, Colo. and SANTA BARBARA, Calif., Jan. 10, 2012 (SEND2PRESS NEWSWIRE) — The Council of Energy Resource Tribes (CERT) today announced formation of a strategic business relationship with BioJet International. CERT is comprised of 57 sovereign Indian tribes as members. CERT members collectively own and manage more than 30 percent of the coal west of the Mississippi; 40 percent of domestic uranium; and 10 percent of known national oil and gas reserves in the United States. CERT members also manage millions of acres of agricultural lands from which feedstock for biofuels may be grown. Learn more at: http://74.63.154.129 .

BioJet International is a leading supply chain integrator in renewable (bio) jet fuel and related co-products which include green diesel for the aviation and related commercial transportation sectors. BioJet has received last year a funding facility commitment of $1.2 billion to capitalize its supply chain projects program which include feedstock and refining projects as well as investments and related strategic acquisitions. The firm’s operations span the entire biofuel chain including the generation of feedstock; technology; refining; logistics; sustainability certification; distribution and eventual end use by the aviation sector world-wide. BioJet is also the first Alternative Fuels Strategic Partner of the International Air Transport Association. Learn more at: http://www.biojetcorp.com .

David Lester, CERT Executive Director, said “We believe our sovereign tribal members together with BioJet are well suited to lead one of the largest economic transitions in history: the transition from a fossil based to a biofuel based transportation sector, and on a larger scale, the transition to building a foundation for sustainable tribal communities and an infrastructure for United States energy independence. This effort will be led for CERT by Robert J. Martin, former National Ombudsman of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency in Washington D.C., as leader of the RES Alliance with which BioJet is a strategic partner. We are poised for a long transition period wherein biofuels gain large market share not only from fossil fuels but also from ethanol.”

Mitch Hawkins, Chairman and CEO of BioJet, said “We envision the scope of our business relationship broadly with CERT to include at least $1 Billion worth of joint projects over a ten year period locating feedstock generation and refining operations to provide biofuels for commercial airlines and ground transportation at key locations throughout the western United States.”

CERT and BioJet expect to conclude a Memorandum of Agreement in the next 60 days to define the terms of their participation.

BELLEVUE, Wash., Sept. 30, 2011 (SEND2PRESS NEWSWIRE) — CB Jones International President Craig Jones announced today that the company is now offering the 4 MCU flight management computer (FMC part number 176200-01-01) at significant savings over original equipment manufacturer (OEM) pricing. Most significantly, multiple FMCs are ready for immediate delivery on a first come, first serve basis. Typical industry lead times recently have been 200 days or more.

Airlines interested in stocking FMC part number 176200-01-01 or planning to retrofit 737s with the latest 4 MCU flight management computers can contact CB Jones International to request a 17-page white paper outlining the benefits, capabilities and specifications associated with 4 MCU- Model 2907C1, FMC p/n 176200-01-01. In general, the greatest benefit for airlines using the 4 MCU FMC will be significant fuel savings.

When decision makers compare 4 MCU to 8 MCU FMCs they will find the 4 MCU p/n 176200-01-01 use less energy (27 watts versus 100 watts), have a much better mean time between failures (MTBF) (18,000 hours versus 6,000 hours) and are lighter (11 lbs. versus 35 lbs.).

In general, when airlines upgrade to 4MCU flight management computers, they save on maintenance costs in two ways. First, the three year warranty on the new computers will relieve the airline of ongoing internal maintenance costs, and second, after the warranty period, the airline will be operating flight management computers that have lower average cost of repairs due to the improvement to the MTFB rate.

Some highlights of the flight management computers CB Jones International offers include 32 bit architecture, on board loadable software and database, extra spare capacity in speed, memory and interfaces, single FMC operation including “Both on Left” or “Both on Right” available in case of failure, flexible ACARS permitting the airlines to change Message Content and Transmission Triggers without re-certification, Integrated GS and IRS Navigation Certified for RNP RNAV Approach and Departure Operations, “irregular operation” meaning RNP benefits are achieved by using RNAV/RNP approaches.

CB Jones International has over 35 years of experience in the aviation industry trading with customers in over 25 countries worldwide.
BUSHKILL, Pa. (SEND2PRESS NEWSWIRE) -- Billioninvest Corporation, a U.S.-based international marketing and management consulting company, is breaking ground with its most challenging project ever - connecting distant regions of Russia to places of industry and commerce via bush planes.

BUSHKILL, Pa., July 19, 2011 (SEND2PRESS NEWSWIRE) — Billioninvest Corporation, a U.S.-based international marketing and management consulting company, is breaking ground with its most challenging project ever – connecting distant regions of Russia to places of industry and commerce via bush planes.

Territory in Russia is so vast and the climate – very diverse. Therefore, multiple types of transportation (aviation, marine, automotive, railroad) are highly sought after because getting from place to place within reasonable time and some level of comfort can prove to be a major challenge.

As a result, Billioninvest and its Russian-American expert team is enthusiastically working on reviewing case studies that reveal transportation alternatives to improve direct interaction between U.S. and Russian small business traders who continue to seek economically-viable delivery options.

Currently, negotiations are underway between Billioninvest, Canada’s Viking Air and small regional Russian airlines for new and used short take off and landing (STOL) airplanes.

“Billioninvest is working with representatives of local airlines in Sakha Republic, located in the Russian Far East, to buy or lease nine of these North American-made bush planes for commercial cargo and small passenger application within the region,” says Vladimir Biryukov, Ph.D., Chief Expert of Billioninvest.

Wheel skis and amphibious floats combine wheels with skis or floats, giving the pilot the option of landing on snow/water or a traditional paved runway.

“Our customers are considering buying these planes for Russian markets because of their technical qualities and exceptional value,” adds Biryukov.

Biryukov is a well-known Russian-American economist and business consultant. He is a world-class economic advisor with an outstanding background in development within the Russian market and in transitional economics.

To date, small-scale flights to distant areas such as the Far East and Siberia were too expensive, too complicated and too limited.

Today, small Russian private businesses are allowed to own or lease foreign-made small planes, in turn, opening up opportunities for small companies in these remote regions.

Reasons for owning or leasing a bush plane include: transporting small parcels to regions where there is no way to land a regular plane; to evacuate a small group of people in an emergency situation; and to facilitate trade between the U.S. and remote Russia.

STOL planes have become so popular that there is already a long waiting list for new deliveries, not only from the Russian market, but worldwide.

“In today’s global economy, the need to connect remote Russian regions to other areas is one of the most pressing needs for regional air carriers in the Russian Far East; it’s a massive undertaking, but one we are willing to pursue,” says Biryukov.

BARBADOS and SANTA BARBARA, Calif., July 6, 2011 (SEND2PRESS NEWSWIRE) — BioJet International Ltd. (www.biojetcorp.com) announced that it joins the worldwide Aviation Industry celebrating approval of bio-derived jet fuel for commercial use (ASTM International revised D7566). Concurrent with this approval, and to aid in development of the bio-aviation market, BioJet is releasing One Billion Gallons of Renewable Jet Fuel to long-term contracts.

This is a one time introductory offer made to the Commercial Aviation Industry on special pricing and terms. No deposit, take or pay contracts will be freely transferable and may be assigned or traded over the life of the contract provided that the financial capacity of the assignee is at least equal to that of the original Purchaser.

Pricing will be fixed at US$2.97 per gallon. Alternatively, the buyer may elect to index at par with petroleum jet fuel with a US$3.50 cap and US$2.50 floor.

BioJet International, Ltd. is a leading international supply chain integrator for renewable (bio) jet fuel and related products for the aviation and transportation industries that include renewable (“green”) diesel, feedstock oil, and feedstock co-products.

BioJet operates throughout the entire biofuel value chain and engages feedstock generation, technology, refining, logistics, sustainability certification, distribution, and eventual end use by the aviation and transportation sector user.

In February 2011 BioJet received a US$1.2 Billion funding facility from Equity Partners Fund. The facility is the cornerstone of BioJet’s US$6+ Billion supply chain capital projects program over the next 10 years which includes feedstock and refining projects, as well as investment and strategic acquisitions.

This offer is made possible because BioJet, through its subsidiaries, owns and controls multiple, very large biofuels feedstock projects around the world. This unique position provides BioJet with the ability to control its internal allocation of resources for a significant cost control advantage while other companies are subject to severe fluctuations in cost and availability of feedstock.

NEW YORK, N.Y., March 30 (SEND2PRESS NEWSWIRE) — Can a reduction in helicopter vibration levels increase safety of flight and reduce its operating costs? “Absolutely,” says Eli Navon, CEO of Shake’d Technologies, Inc., a New York-based company engaged in the development, delivery and support of advanced rotary wing innovations. “Many helicopter owners and operators users have borne the cost of dynamic components failing long before their scheduled time before overhaul (TBO). Though vibrations can never be fully eliminated, the best and only effective way to ensure a helicopter’s longevity is to continue reducing its vibration levels.”

Helicopter vibration is so serious in fact, that the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has recently announced its plan to have all U.S.-certified rotorcraft install or be serviced using some type of mechanical condition monitoring or other maintenance actions to control or reduce vibrations. This call to action was prompted by a number of helicopter crashes caused by mechanical component failures worldwide, including many that have resulted in fatalities.

High vibration in helicopters causes severe damage to fuselage structural integrity. It also minimizes components life span and adversely affects operator comfort and control. It has been reported that most safety-related problems in various parts of the aircraft were caused by vibrations, including cracked welds, cracked fuselages, loose wiring connections, and in-flight failure of dynamic components.

“High vibrations can lead to instabilities during flight, making the control difficult and in some cases impossible. These conditions affect fuselage and dynamic component structural integrity including onboard avionics and navigation equipment that can lead to catastrophic results,” stated Maj. Gen. (Ret.) Eitan Ben Eliyahu, former Commander of the Israeli Air Force (IAF), an aviator for 38 years, and a strong supporter of the CDB program.

In response, Shake’d Technologies, Inc., has developed Customized Dynamic Balancing (CDB), an innovative process to immediately reduce overall aircraft vibration. In effect, operating and support (O&S) costs are lessened, while aircraft availability, logistics supportability and safety measures are increased. CDB is considered a “Preventive Maintenance Process,” which means that it keeps the component vibration deterioration rate low and moves component lifetime closer to TBO. The longer a dynamic component remains on-wing, the lower the operating cost to the operator. Each helicopter’s drive-train is physically balanced within its own vibration profile.

The solution requires tuning each aircraft every 200-flight hours to verify the aircraft low vibration environment. Its onboard monitoring systems can also detect unexpected behavior in vibrations and diagnose trends, ensuring a smooth and certainly safer flight.

CDB’s approach is based on holistic analysis, rather than the analysis of separate components. CDB emphasizes the importance of the dynamics of the whole drive-train, and the interaction between its inter-dependent parts instead of isolating by analyzing the drive-train by specific components. CDB supports the Condition Based Maintenance (CBM) concept by providing Reliability, Availability, and Maintainability (RAM) data that supports predictive maintenance practices based on actual conditions of dynamic components vs unscheduled maintenance. CDB is very useful in identifying and troubleshooting various material issues beyond the drive-train, it also avoids the costly “guesswork” incurred by maintainers who waste time and money trying to find the root source of a particular problem.

“This unique technology includes main rotor track and balance during ground run, so that the aircraft can be serviceable after only one test flight in the air,” Navon said. “Additionally, the solution is able to examine the health condition of each gear mesh in all gearboxes and report unusual behavior to the user.”

“By immediately reducing vibration in the drive train, and periodically checking and re-balancing the aircraft as required, the aircraft can achieve and maintain a minimum vibration profile over its life,” Navon said. “Many fatal accidents could have been prevented using technologies such as CDB.”

Experimental test pilots who have flown Apache aircraft immediately after applying CDB have told us “it has made an obvious difference, not only are the vibrations way down, the noise in the cockpit is quieter”.

Another important attribute of the CDB is its ability to integrate (in full or in part) with other health and usage monitoring systems. Since the critical part of the CDB system is software, integration efforts would mostly involve software integration engineering. Collected data can be passed to the CDB system via a digital storage device (digi-stick), or other similar means, and loaded into the technician’s computer for processing.

Since its development three years ago, CDB has successfully provided safer flights and lower cost operations to an international fleet of rotary wing aircraft. Today, Customized Dynamic Balancing is fully developed and proven to be very effective in immediately solving vibration challenges, reducing operating and support (O&S) costs and increasing both aircraft availability and logistics supportability.

NEW YORK, N.Y., Jan. 11 (SEND2PRESS NEWSWIRE) — Shake’d Technologies, Inc., a New York based firm engaged in the development, delivery and support of advanced rotary wing technologies has teamed with Maj. Gen. (Ret.) Eitan Ben Eliyahu to support its efforts and contract management to deliver a unique solution to actively reduce helicopter vibration for rotary wing users in both the defense and commercial marketplace.

“Mr. Ben Eliyahu’s extensive experience allows him to understand the potential of CDB and the critical benefits it provides to its users,” said Eli Navon, CEO of Shake’d Technologies, Inc.

Maj. Gen. (Ret.) Eitan Ben-Eliyahu served as the Commander of the Israeli Air Force (IAF). During his 38 years in the IAF, Maj.-Gen. Ben Eliyahu was an active fighter pilot in Israel’s various wars and campaigns. Mr. Ben Eliyahu has since retired from active duty but still remains engaged in aviation and defense industries. Mr. Ben Eliyahu holds an undergraduate degree in Economics and Business Administration from Tel Aviv’s Bar Ilan University and a graduate degree in Strategy and International Relations from Tel Aviv University. He is also a graduate of Harvard University’s Advanced Management Program.

“The unique ability of CDB to immediately reduce overall aircraft vibration is critical to the aircraft and the user,” said Mr. Ben Eliyahu. “High vibrations can lead to instabilities during flight making control difficult and in some cases impossible. These conditions affect fuselage and dynamic component structural integrity including onboard avionics and navigation equipment that can lead to catastrophic results.”

“The current overall vibration levels in helicopters remain significantly higher than in jet-engine aircraft. Rotary wing operators around the world have borne the cost of dynamic component failure long before predicted time before overhaul (TBO). Reducing these vibration levels is essential to helicopters safety and longevity,” said Mr. Ben Eliyahu.

The concern of helicopter vibration is so serious that government agencies around the world including US FAA (Federal Aviation Administration) and IHST (International Helicopter Safety Team) are implementing programs to have all certified rotorcraft to be serviced or to have installed some type of vibration solution, and health and monitoring system. These actions are now being taken due to a number of helicopter crashes caused by mechanical component failures that have resulted in fatalities. “These fatal accidents could have been prevented using technologies such as CDB,” said Eli Navon, the company’s CEO.

The innovative process of CDB goes far beyond passively monitoring aircraft vibrations. CDB discerns the root cause of vibration related problems and provides a dynamic solution to significantly and dramatically reduce it, thereby increasing component life, reducing operating costs, and increasing safety of flight and mission readiness. CDB is concerned with a holistic approach to the aircraft health, rather than the analysis of separate components.

This unique and cutting edge balancing system is accomplished by applying the solution provided by the CDB algorithmic software that emphasizes the importance of the dynamics of the whole drive train, and the interactive components. Depending on each aircraft vibration profile (AVP), the system provides tailored solutions to each individual aircraft. CDB tunes each aircraft every 200-flight hours and verifies its low vibration environment, which also provides a smooth and safe ride. Onboard monitoring systems can detect unexpected behavior in vibrations and diagnose trends.

Customized Dynamic Balancing (CDB) is fully developed and proven to be very effective in reducing operating and support (O&S) costs and increasing both aircraft availability and logistics supportability. The technology is transferable and can be integrated (in part or in full) with current monitoring systems. For more information visit the CDB website at www.cdbdata.com .
