SAN JOSE, Calif., May 7, 2012 (SEND2PRESS NEWSWIRE) — Online Image (www.OnlineImage.biz), a GIS software and web technology company, is now making available the nation’s most accurate matching of addresses and zip codes to redistricted congressional and state legislative districts. As a result, candidates can run and supporters can vote in the correct districts in the 2012 elections.

“Based on 2010 census data, states are redistricting jurisdiction boundaries,” says Mitchell Pearce, CEO of Online Image. “Redistricting has reshaped the U.S. political landscape. Districts are gaining and losing addresses. As the 2012 elections approach, our redistricted congressional and state legislative district products and services ensure accurate district-to-address matching that is mission critical for political and advocacy campaigns.”

The new district data products and services are generated by www.USgeocoder.com – the flagship product of Online Image. USgeocoder is a Geographic Information System (GIS) that uses proprietary algorithms to cross-walk various databases and generate the most accurate jurisdictions. USgeocoder is the only service that achieves greater than 99 percent accuracy even when no publicly available map exists for an address.

Online Image has been closely monitoring the redistricting process in each state. USgeocoder integrates the state’s new district definitions with precise GIS data and the latest postal data to produce new district information. It updates its data files as often as the states and USPS update their files.

Online Image makes the new congressional and state legislative district data available by 9 digit zip code, address range, shape file, and Census Block Assignment File. USgeocoder can use this data to match existing large address files to new districts and show new districts with custom address data on maps. Voter registration data can be appended to addresses and the maps to create precinct canvassing routes, call lists, and email lists.

Online Image can also convert phone lists to address lists and then batch process them to match to any representative district all the way down to municipal and school board districts.

For more about the new district data products and services, visit http://usgeocoder.com/datafiles_overview .

KIRKLAND, Wash., April 18, 2012 (SEND2PRESS NEWSWIRE) -- In a tight presidential race, voter sentiment on religion, race, jobs or contraception could tip the balance.

KIRKLAND, Wash., April 18, 2012 (SEND2PRESS NEWSWIRE) — In a tight presidential race, voter sentiment on religion, race, jobs or contraception could tip the balance. Or “the decisive issue just might be a health problem that jeopardizes almost every American family,” says Jonas Roeser, Senior Vice President of Marketing and Operations for LTC Financial Partners LLC (LTCFP), one of the nation’s most experienced long-term care insurance agencies.

“Almost 3 in 4 people over 65 will need long-term care at some point, according to the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services,” he says. “But most don’t have a plan to pay for this care, meaning their close relatives could be hit hard in the pocketbook. That includes just about everybody.”

So far the candidates have been mute on the long-term care insurance (LTCI) issue, and it’s high time for them to speak out, according to Roeser. So, to gain attention, his organization launched a straw poll on March 26, 2012. It asked just one question:

* Which candidate (President Barack Obama or the Republican choice) is more likely to promote new federal incentives to help Americans afford private long-term care insurance?

About a third, 33 percent, picked President Obama, while two-thirds, 67 percent, picked the Republican candidate, whoever it might be. “If this reflects the feelings of the broad population,” says Roeser, “it could be a wake-up call for President Obama and his people. And it could be something the Republicans can make hay with.”

President Obama might have been seen as the champion of long-term care insurance, since his Affordable Care Act included a public option for LTCI, the CLASS Act. But in October, 2011, HHS Secretary Kathleen Sebelius announced that her department was halting implementation of CLASS since a way could not be found to make it self-sustaining. “Now we need to rely entirely on the private sector,” says Roeser, “but the government can still help by introducing new tax breaks or other incentives to make it easier for people to protect themselves.”

Both candidates have an equal opportunity to work with Congress to make it happen, Roeser asserts. “Both can and should state their intentions now and frequently during the campaign. Doing so can be good for the country, and who knows? It just might determine who makes it into the White House.”

The straw poll will be kept open right up until the presidential election on November 6, tracking change in voter sentiment. “It will be an interesting horse race,” says Roeser. “Will the Republican candidate stay way ahead, or will President Obama close the gap and maybe win by a nose?”

Votes may be cast at either of two locations: http://www.ltcfp.com/2012poll or http://ltcguild.ning.com/page/election-poll . After voting, the visitor may view the latest, updated percentages and find other information about the LTC issue.

The straw poll is supported by the Long Term Care Insurance Guild, the social network for LTCI and allied professionals.

LTCFP has more than 500 LTC specialists serving individuals and organizations in all parts of the nation. The company is a co-founder and sponsor of the “3 in 4 Need More” campaign, which seeks to alert Americans to the long-term healthcare crisis, and to multiply the number protected by long-term care planning.

SAN JOSE, Calif., April 10, 2012 (SEND2PRESS NEWSWIRE) — Online Image, a GIS software and technology company, today announced the Geocoded Address Batch Processing Service for New Congressional District Matching. This service is the first to match addresses to newly redrawn districts, enabling organizations to update their member address files and direct their members to support the candidates they endorse for the 2012 elections.

“If an organization wants its members to support a particular candidate, it must first know which members are in that candidate’s district. Due to recent state redistricting, more than 80 percent of the nation’s congressional districts have changed. Many voters are no longer in the same districts they were before. Our batch address process makes this discovery painless for organizations,” said Mitchell Pearce, CEO of Online Image.

The new district address batch matching is processed by USgeocoder, the flagship product of Online Image. USgeocoder determines the location of each address, identifies its census block, produces congressional district information, and returns the address file to the organization with district information appended. Using proprietary algorithms, USgeocoder achieves greater than 99.8 percent accuracy for new congressional district matching.

Online Image updates its data files as the U.S. Postal Service updates its address files and the states complete redistricting source data. As of today, based on source files currently available, USgeocoder batch processes addresses in 48 states and territories for new congressional district matching. Readers can check the progress on the remaining states by going to http://usgeocoder.com/redistricting_watch .

MOUNTAIN LAKES, N.J., March 26, 2012 (SEND2PRESS NEWSWIRE) — Today LTC Guild, the social network for the long-term care insurance industry, announces its support of a straw poll asking people to say which presidential candidate they think more likely to back federal incentives for owning long-term care insurance.

The poll, available at http://ltcguild.ning.com/page/election-poll, simply asks, “Which candidate, Barack Obama or the Republican choice, is more likely to promote new federal incentives to help Americans afford private long-term care insurance?”

Originated by LTC Financial Partners, a national long-term care insurance agency, the poll can now be accessed through the LTC Guild website.

Why the poll? “It’s not just to take the pulse of the public,” says Dick Samson, director of the LTC Guild. “We want to influence the candidates. When President Obama and the Republican choice see the poll results, they could start taking the LTC issue more seriously.”

The majority of senior Americans lack long-term care insurance, Samson points out. “As part of the Affordable Care Act, there was going to be a public option for LTC insurance, but that’s been shelved. Now private insurance is the only LTC insurance option, but millions shrink from the cost. “New tax breaks could change that, “but the candidates aren’t talking about it.”

Millions of senior voters could tip the election one way or the other, Samson asserts. “They and their families deserve to know where the candidates stand.”

Poll results to date will be visible after participants vote, at http://ltcguild.ning.com/page/election-poll.

The LTC Guild is a social network described as “the place where long-term care and allied pros meet one another and the public, form local chapters, schedule meetings, and share information.” It is managed by EraNova Institute of Mountain Lakes, N.J. Samson is director of that organization, too.

LOS ANGELES, Calif., Feb. 16, 2012 (SEND2PRESS NEWSWIRE) — For over six months, Christopher Campbell, a recent graduate of the University of California, Irvine, has been spearheading a campaign, CHEC2012 (www.chec2012.com), that will profoundly change affordability and access to public higher education for currently enrolled and future college students in California.

Campbell’s proposed amendment to the California State Constitution stipulates that “any student in good standing at a California Public Postsecondary Institution will not see an increase in their fees or tuition while enrolled in a degree program.”

The non-partisan, grassroots amendment would make permanent the assurances for affordability that Campbell feels are critical to students and families budgeting for college, and will help keep California’s system of higher education competitive.

Campbell states: “You would never take a luxury cruise if you knew you would be forced to pay substantially more money at sea before being allowed to go ashore. Students need a ‘contract’ with a reliably predictable tuition and fee structure, as well as a commitment from the institution to make it possible for them to get their degree within a specified period of time.”

Campbell was inspired to author the measure after completing his bachelor’s degree. He witnessed the hardships that escalating costs were having on him and his fellow students as well as their families. Campbell sees his work on this initiative as an important part of making the budgeting process for UC Regents, CSU Trustees, and Community College Districts more transparent and accountable to Californians.

Title & Summary is expected to be issued by the State Attorney General within six weeks, after which the campaign, Californians for a Higher Education Contract (CHEC2012) can begin collecting petition signatures needed to qualify the initiative for the November ballot.

After reviewing recently proposed legislation targeting tuition and fee breaks for middle-class students, Campbell offered, “Students need more than a program here or there. We need a comprehensive set of reforms and a serious commitment to affordability and accessibility for all California residents. The skyrocketing cost of higher education divides people on the fundamental level of income, and burdens succeeding generations with unmanageable debt.”

Campbell hopes that his work will benefit students now and into the future. “I am advocating for students who will go through what I just went through in financing my education. Too many of California’s future leaders are being forced to drop out of school, or abandon plans for enrolling in college. Although there are a host of initiatives and legislation designed to narrow the education budget gap, it is past time we had a Prop-13 style measure to impose controls on the portion of those budgets borne by students and their families.”

The full text of the initiative can be viewed on the initiative’s campaign website at http://www.chec2012.com, or on the California Attorney General’s website at http://ag.ca.gov/initiatives/activeindex.php . Interested parties are invited to comment, volunteer or donate at the campaign website, or to participate on the campaign’s open forum Facebook group: Californians for a Higher Education Contract (CHEC2012).

The infographic details the positions of the top 2012 presidential candidates on major issues facing small businesses such as taxes, minimum wage, and business expenses.

“It has always been our goal to help small business owners succeed, via our working capital solutions or our community outreach and business publications. This infographic is just another way for us to help small business owners. It’s their right to know how each candidate may affect their businesses,” explained Gary Barzel, FastUpFront’s manager of business development, and senior editor of the FastUpFront small business blog.

The infographic is being released at a critical time with South Carolina and Florida primary elections scheduled within the month of January. While the infographic helps voters to understand the candidates in respect to business issues, FastUpFront is not using the infographic to push readers to vote for a specific candidate.

“We feel that the candidates speak for themselves. Business owners will vote for the right 2012 presidential candidate based on a variety of issues, the infographic is meant only to summarize a variety of data sources and simplify those facts.”

FREDERICK, Md., Oct. 17, 2011 (SEND2PRESS NEWSWIRE) — During their monthly meeting on October 16, the Allegany County Conservative Caucus reaffirmed their vote to unanimously endorse Joseph Krysztoforski, Republican candidate for the US House of Representatives for Maryland’s 6th Congressional District, over long term Republican incumbent Roscoe Bartlett.

“We are very pleased to endorse Joseph Krysztoforski, a true Conservative candidate, for Maryland’s 6th Congressional District. He has the experience necessary to represent the district and understands the problems we face as a nation,” said Ed Taylor, President of the organization. “He is a fiscal conservative with sound policies that bypass the meaningless, biased statements and platitudes others put forth and he has the name recognition and fortitude to keep the district in Republican hands.”

The organization, Allegany County Conservative Caucus, founded in 2009, is chartered with vetting candidates and holding accountable elected officials that champion conservative views but are not supporting or voting those views once elected.

“As a self-made businessman and educator, Joe understands the financial struggles facing our nation, and offers bold, common-sense solutions to create jobs, reduce our dependence on foreign oil and eliminate our nation’s debt and deficit,” said Jim Woods, a Washington County resident.

“I am humbled, honored and grateful to have received the endorsement and support of the Conservative Caucus,” said Krysztoforski. “I thank them for their kind words.
