KANSAS CITY, Mo., May 2, 2012 (SEND2PRESS NEWSWIRE) — Move For Hunger is proud to announce their recent partnership with Mango Moving at the Signature Level. Mango Moving LLC, a Kansas City-based national moving company, has committed to support Move For Hunger’s fight against hunger through a generous financial contribution.

Move For Hunger is a non-profit organization that works with moving companies and other members of the relocation industry to combat the growing hunger problem in the United States. Many people throw out a good deal of “stuff” when they move. Unfortunately, that “stuff” often includes food that could be delivered to a family in need rather than thrown away.

In partnering with Move for Hunger, Mango Moving will provide their customers with services to donate any food items that they won’t be moving instead of disposing of them. Mango will pack and deliver the food directly to Harvesters Community Food Network or a local food bank at no cost to the customer.

“Moving can be a stressful process. The Move for Hunger program gives customers a way to simplify part of the moving and packing process while giving them an opportunity to help families in need,” said Mango Moving COO, Robert Vespa. “We’re proud to be teaming up with such a great organization and a worthy cause.”

“We are so happy to have Mango Moving join the Move For Hunger family for 2012,” said Gavin Christiansen, Director of Operations at Move For Hunger. “Their commitment to ending hunger will help provide life saving meals for the most vulnerable in the Kansas City area.”

FRESNO, Calif., April 30, 2012 (SEND2PRESS NEWSWIRE) — The Central Valley Tea Party has been commissioned to hold a press conference with one hundred Fresno business leaders and owners who will be affected by the imposition of the High-Speed Rail project on “Mayday,” Tuesday, May 1, 2012. The one hundred business owners who are on the current High-Speed Rail track line will be present in solidarity to oppose the High-Speed Rail through Fresno.

These Fresno businessmen and women will be on hand to tell their stories at the press conference. These businesses have been neglected and abused by the City and County of Fresno as well as the High-Speed Rail Authority. Also scheduled to speak is John Broeske, Executive Director of Families Protecting the Valley.

The lost revenue to the city and county of Fresno will be in the tens of millions of dollars. This is revenue that the city and county rely upon for essential services for all citizens. One business represented pays over a million dollars monthly in sales tax alone. Another Fresno business pays the county over a million dollars annually for truck licensing fees. These direct losses of tax base do not include similar losses from each and every employee.

The number of employees lost is another unreported issue. Many of the companies effected will be leaving Fresno altogether – many to other counties and several to other states. It will be nearly impossible to relocate these businesses to locations with similar freeway access inside of Fresno.

The displacement costs on top of the lost revenue will never adequately replace the active business dollars these businesses have built over generations of being in the right location. Eminent domain seizure of these properties is already planned by the High-Speed Rail Authority and the only recourse of these businesses may be a class-action lawsuit that could tie up the project for years.

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla., April 16, 2012 (SEND2PRESS NEWSWIRE) — It’s no secret that marketing directors are on a perpetual quest for the next best thing, now they’re discovering that the perfect vehicle to “drive their brand” may be a custom wrapped motorhome rental. Branded RV rentals have emerged as a cutting edge marketing tool and are becoming popular among companies looking increase their exposure and enhance their corporate identity. Florida based RV rental firm Allstar Coaches has been using vehicle wrap technology for years on its fleet of luxury motorhomes as it continues to grow its Corporate Events and Promotions sector.

“There is nothing quite as eye catching or effective as a brightly wrapped bus cruising down Main Street America. It’s something you don’t miss. Heads turn wherever you go and everybody remembers seeing it,” says Rob Tischler, CEO of Allstar. “Corporate RV rental is our fastest growing division,” Tischler says, adding that they’ve seen a healthy 35 percent increase over the past year alone.

Some of America’s largest and well known corporations have embraced the use of branded RV rentals to promote their wares; citing the ability to connect with people on a personal level and in multiple locations. Disney, through its DreamWorks division rented and wrapped a luxury RV from Allstar Coaches for a promotional tour timed to coincide with the release of their sci-fi hit “I Am Number Four.” Over a two week period, the campaign toured ten major markets, hosting fan experiences and giveaways at NASCAR events, theme parks and various other high traffic locations.

Visa, MasterCard and Discover have been bringing wrapped motorhomes to college campuses for years, signing up students and helping them to establish credit with great success.

Mobile RV promotions create exciting and effective marketing opportunities that let corporations interact directly with their consumer. Using the branding power and mobility of wrapped motorhomes, businesses can literally roll up on the front lines of their core demographic, hitting as many markets as they wish on a single tour. For added impact and additional reach, companies use their social media pages to create even more buzz, by encouraging fans to interact and follow their tours online.

Companies interested in pursuing wrapped RV rentals for their own mobile marketing tours can contact Allstar’s Corporate Events and Promotions team at (866) 838-4465 or via their official website. “From concept to completion, Allstar’s professional, experienced staff will handle the logistics, planning and execution of your campaign to ensure that your brand gets its ‘rock star’ on,” says Tischler.

MT. VERNON, Ill., March 19, 2012 (SEND2PRESS NEWSWIRE) -- JTLL Enterprises announced this week the launch of HitchHauling.com - a new website that connects hitchers and haulers so they can save money on gas.

MT. VERNON, Ill., March 19, 2012 (SEND2PRESS NEWSWIRE) — JTLL Enterprises announced this week the launch of HitchHauling.com – a new website that connects hitchers and haulers so they can save money on gas. The recent surge in gasoline prices is once again putting a squeeze on Americans. In fact, gasoline prices are up almost 17 percent, or 54 cents, this year through March 14, according to the American Automobile Association (AAA).

Additionally, AAA reported that the national average retail price of unleaded regular gasoline climbed to $3.82 a gallon on March 14, 2012; that’s 7.5 percent higher than a year ago.

HitchHauling.com offers some relief to people who are seeking ways to save money on gas.

“People can pay for their gas in many ways,” says John Smith, founder Hitch Hauling. “For example, let’s say a family is going on vacation. Check the site to see if someone needs something hauled to that destination – it can be something as small as a golf club, or larger like a motorcycle. Of course, the size of the vehicle will determine what cargo can be hauled.”

So, how does it work? First, it’s free to become a member. Then, if a hitcher and hauler want to connect, it’s only $1 to get the contact information and the rest of the arrangements are between the hitcher and hauler.

“Recently, someone was hauling a three-wheeler to a destination and there was plenty of room on the trailer for another item,” says Smith. “This would have been an ideal opportunity to connect with a hitcher.”

HitchHauling.com proves to be less costly than standard shipping. And, since the hauler is already making the trip, it’s efficient, eco-friendly and typically saves times. It’s a win-win situation. The hitcher gets a better deal and the hauler offsets their cost of gas.

The website is easy to use. There is a section for haulers to post their routes, destinations and estimated time of arrival. And hitchers post their needs in the cargo section.

So, whether commuting to work daily or going on a cross-country vacation, people may as well consider hauling something and putting some extra cash in their pocket at the same time. In today’s economy – every little drop counts.

LOS ANGELES, Calif., Feb. 29, 2012 (SEND2PRESS NEWSWIRE) — The moving facilitator, Free Moving Quote (FreeMovingQuote.com), has not only weathered the recession, they have found ways to thrive in this difficult environment. FreeMovingQuote.com strives to be a one-stop shop for movers looking to find moving companies both at their departure locale and their destination.

The website lets users see quotes and reviews from local companies on both ends instantly and also offers other support services like booking moving trucks or investigating storage pods and moving containers.

The recession was an acutely difficult time for moving companies. With lay-offs and depressed hiring, few customers were willing to spend money on moving costs – using their own vehicles and looking to friends when needing moving help. In addition, because it was a hirer’s hiring market, companies also have not been budgeting for relocation expenses expecting prospective workers to finance their own relocations.

In this difficult environment, FreeMovingQuote.com has managed to continue growing, recently announcing hiring of their own.

So how did they do it?

FreeMovingQuote.com looked to the same medium that got them started in the first place, the technology sector. Having started at about the same time as Google (1997), the media savvy FreeMovingQuote utilized the rise of social media to help it reach new customers.

A cornerstone in this process has been their use of Twitter and similar mediums to reach Generation Y just as they leave college and begin to work their way up the corporate ladder. By engaging with them via new media, FreeMovingQuote has made inroads into a demographic that is both very coveted and incredibly difficult to reach.

FreeMovingQuote has also made major improvements to their website to make sure that users have the optimal experience possible. They have made it much easier not only to get into contact with an actual live customer service representative, while also making their site much clearer and easier to navigate as well. They have also added additional moving pods providers to their database of national moving providers.

This is all part of a larger move by the company to ensure that it provides the best customer experience in the moving quotes niche. A push that has included the hiring of dozens of customer service reps and a general re-emphasis on training and customer satisfaction.

Now, as the recession begins to ease, FreeMovingQuote feels that it is ready to help movers begin new lives.

SAN RAMON, Calif., Feb. 27, 2012 (SEND2PRESS NEWSWIRE) — EPIC (Edgewood Partners Insurance Center), a retail property, casualty and employee benefits insurance brokerage, announced today that Allen Amos has been recognized by Risk and Insurance Magazine as one of 2012′s property and casualty insurance “Power Brokers.” This is the second consecutive year Amos has been so recognized.

To qualify for a Power Broker designation, nominees must be considered a top performer in a particular industry practice sector. The three principal criteria for evaluating candidates are creative risk problem solving, industry practice expertise and client service. Amos was one of only 126 people nationwide to be selected from hundreds of nominations received by Risk & Insurance this year.

Amos was highlighted as a Power Broker for his extensive knowledge, client care, and skill in negotiations. A client noted that because of Amos’ negotiation on their behalf, due in large part to his former experience as an underwriter, their company received $450,000 in financial return as part of a claim. The refund represented more than a quarter of the company’s annual insurance premiums.

Another client noted, “Allen has excellent knowledge of our industry, and that is the main reason we went with him.”

At EPIC, Amos is both a shareholder and principal. Based in the company’s San Ramon division, he specializes in transportation, trucking, warehousing and logistics.

“Allen takes care of business and consistently produces strong results because he focuses first on the needs of others,” noted co-founder Dan Francis. “This is a primary reason he is such an outstanding broker.”

About Edgewood Partners Insurance Center:
Founded in 2007, EPIC is a new and innovative California-based retail property & casualty and employee benefits insurance brokerage firm. The company provides a unique equity ownership opportunity and has created a values-based culture that attracts and retains top talent, fosters employee satisfaction and loyalty and sustains a high level of customer service excellence.

The fastest growing brokerage in the state, EPIC has nearly 300 team members operating from seven offices across California (Los Angeles, Irvine, Folsom, San Francisco, San Mateo, Petaluma and San Ramon).

FORT WORTH, Texas, Feb. 20, 2012 (SEND2PRESS NEWSWIRE) — FireFighting’s Finest Moving and Delivery of Fort Worth, TX has been recognized as Move For Hunger’s “Mover of the Year” for 2011 out of 250 moving companies in 39 different states. The Mover of the Year award is presented to the moving company that best exemplifies the philanthropic spirit of Move For Hunger.

In 2011 alone, FireFighting’s Finest delivered over 10,000 lbs. to the Tarrant Area Food Bank through consistent monthly collections as well as a number of food drives. That is enough food to provide for over 7,600 life-saving meals to those in need in the greater Fort Worth-Dallas area. The employees of FireFighting’s Finest are almost all active duty firemen and women which may explain their philanthropic spirit!

Move For Hunger is a non-profit organization that works with relocation companies from across the country to provide support to food banks and local pantries. Many people throw out a good deal of “stuff” when they move. Unfortunately, a lot of this “stuff” is food that could be delivered to a family in need rather than thrown away. As a Move For Hunger affiliated mover, FireFighting’s Finest offers to collect any unopened, non-perishable food items from their customers and deliver that food directly to the Tarrant Area Food Bank.

“We are extremely proud of FireFighting’s Finest Moving & Delivery, their enthusiasm and dedication is a model for all of the companies involved in our fight against hunger,” says Adam Lowy, executive director of Move For Hunger. “The staggering amount of food they have delivered is a true testament to the ability of our nation’s moving companies to fight hunger.”
