HOUSTON, Texas, March 27, 2013 (SEND2PRESS NEWSWIRE) — Move For Hunger announces that from April 1-15, 2013, Victory Packaging is holding its First Annual Victory Cup Nationwide Food Drive. As the largest packaging material distributor in North America, Victory has offices in 24 states across the country. For two weeks, these offices will compete to see which can donate the largest amount of non-perishable food items to its local food bank. At the conclusion of the food drive, Victory will reward the winning office with a special prize.

According to recent studies, 1 in 6 Americans struggle to afford food, and 17 million American children go to bed hungry every night. In recent years, emergency food kitchens in major American cities have reported an increased demand for aid. In the past year, nearly all of these emergency kitchens have had to both reduce the portion size of their meals and turn people away without offering help. With the economic forecast uncertain, it is more than a remote possibility that these conditions will worsen and more hungry people will be turned away.

Federal food assistance programs go a long way, but they are not enough to solve the problem on their own. Responsible businesses like Victory Packaging are indispensable in supporting their communities, and the economic and social value of their generous contributions cannot be understated.

Adam Lowy, Executive Director of Move For Hunger, offers his praise: “Many companies help us in the fight against hunger, but Victory Packaging is going above and beyond. By putting the full weight of their company behind this food drive, they prove that helping their neighbors is not just their concern, but a core part of who they are.”

Premier Medical Transportation will donate one meal to Second Harvest Food Bank for every transport call they receive. The Driving Away Hunger campaign began November 1, just in time for the holiday season and will run throughout 2013.

Instead of global hunger campaigns, Premier Medical Transportation’s partnership with Second Harvest Food Bank will allow them to impact Riverside and San Bernardino Counties. By donating one meal for every transport call received, the Driving Away Hunger campaign has the potential to help thousands of local residents and families.

“Our goal is to eliminate food insecurity in our own backyard,” says Tony Myrell, Chief Executive Officer of Premier Medical Transportation. “Many seniors and kids in Riverside and San Bernardino counties don’t know where their next meal is coming from. We believe in giving back to our community, and this is a great way to help. With an average of 140 new transport runs each day, we can provide 700 to 800 meals weekly for those in need.”

In San Bernardino and Riverside counties, more than 500,000 people live in economically disadvantaged households, many of which cannot provide regular meals. These Inland Empire families rely on charities and agencies for assistance with meals, and these organizations obtain their food at Second Harvest Food Bank.

“It takes a village to feed a village,” states Tracylyn Sharrit from the Second Harvest Food Bank. “We are happy that Premier Medical Transportation has engaged in this effort to keep people healthy. Hunger is an epidemic in America. Premier Medical Transportation understands that those who do not eat cannot stay healthy.”

Premier Medical Transportation expects to see an increase in its business; however, its focus is more important: providing meals to those in need.

“The more transports we run, the more meals we are able to give,” says Myrell.

Continuing their socially conscious leadership within the relocation industry, Brookfield Global Relocation Services is demonstrating a commitment to fighting hunger.

“With more than 50 million Americans struggling to find their next meal, this partnership with Brookfield Global Relocation Services could not come at a better time,” said Adam Lowy, Executive Director of Move For Hunger. “This new relationship with a trusted global mobility leader will significantly strengthen our capacity to connect members of the relocation industry to the food banks and pantries that serve the hungry across North America.”

When a move takes place, oftentimes a family will have a pantry full of food which they would prefer not to include in their relocation. Brookfield Global Relocation Services, aligned with Move For Hunger, has partnered with their transportation suppliers offering to collect non-perishable food items from the relocating family and delivering the donations directly to local food banks.

“As one of the largest global employee relocation services providers, our company is uniquely positioned to play a key role in the Move For Hunger program,” said Rick Schwartz, president and CEO, Brookfield Global Relocation Services. “Working through our vast network of transportation companies and real estate partners, we have the ability to impact food banks in all parts of the country. Not only does our participation contribute to feeding thousands of people, it fits right into our primary objective of corporate citizenship in support of the communities in which we serve. We are as passionate about our charitable endeavors, and now our partnership with Move For Hunger, as we are about our commitment to deliver a Premier Service® experience to all of our relocation clients.”

As partners of Move For Hunger, the transportation companies aligned with Brookfield Global Relocation Services will be joining the 400 moving companies and 250 real estate professionals across 44 states that have incorporated philanthropy into their daily operations.

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. (SEND2PRESS NEWSWIRE) -- Luxury RV rentals are not just for special occasions. Staff at Allstar Coaches will tell you that it gets creative and practical client requests as well.

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla., Nov. 1, 2012 (SEND2PRESS NEWSWIRE) — Luxury RV rentals are not just for special occasions. Staff at Allstar Coaches will tell you that it gets creative and practical client requests as well.

Rob Tischler, CEO of Allstar Coaches, says that there are so many reasons to rent a luxury RV that many people have likely never even considered.

Right now, in the midst of football season, tailgating is a top reason to rent a luxury RV. More and more tailgaters are stepping it up a notch and arriving at sporting and NASCAR events in style.

RV rentals are also perfect for promotional tours such as political rallies, concerts or family and college reunions. And businesses can take advantage too.

“RV rentals are ideal and cost effective for advertising,” he says. “For example, if a company is launching a new product, why not wrap it and drive it around a targeted demographic area and interact directly with potential consumers? It’s basically a 45 foot rolling billboard that you can take anywhere.”

Luxury motorhome rentals also serve as a discerning travelers golden ticket to the ultimate fantasy vacation. With Allstar Coaches recently teaming up with some of the world’s finest private aircraft and yacht charter companies, the possibilities are endless.

Finally, RV rentals can serve as temporary housing or field offices during times of emergency or disaster situations such as hurricanes, fires and more.

These luxury RV rentals are equipped with comfortable and well-appointed cabins, gourmet galleys, and state-of-the-art, user-friendly technology. RV rentals also include multiple slide outs and automatic awnings that, when extended, almost double usable space.

“Our innovative ‘Hotel On Wheels’ concept means that our luxury RV rentals come pre-stocked with items such as luxury hotel bedding, fresh towels and invigorating ECO Spa bath products,” Tischler says. “Concierge services, itinerary planning, driving – you name it – our clients can rest assured that we’ll take care of it all.”

About Allstar Coaches:
Florida-based and founded in 2005, Allstar Coaches was created to fill a missing niche in the RV rental market – luxury recreational vehicle rentals. Strategic Allstar locations include: California, Pennsylvania, Florida, Arizona, Nevada, New York, New Jersey, Delaware and Maryland. But, Allstar’s luxury RV rentals and Hotel On Wheels™ can be delivered to locations across the nation.

Antelope Valley Clean Cities (AVCC) Program Coordinator, and National Campaign Chairman, Curtis Martin, along with CNGChat.com members Evelyn and Gary Corbitt have organized a cross country and back compressed natural gas (CNG) road trip involving Clean Cities Coalition’s across the nation. This grass roots movement will be the launch event in a 12 month campaign to raise public awareness to alternative fuels and economic recovery.

* Launching from a “National Alternative Fuel Vehicle (AFV) Odyssey Day 2012″ event on the Santa Monica Pier, the program begins at 8 a.m. – 1 p.m. on Thursday, October 11th, 2012 with an Elton John musical act. Press Conference begins at 9:30 a.m. with Guest speakers to follow at 10 a.m. The specially sponsored car wrapped CNG Honda launching to its first destination at 11 am. It is scheduled to arrive back in California on November 1, 2012. Return location will be the same unless and alternative site is announced. The new 2012 Honda Civic, powered by Natural Gas and provided by American Honda, in Torrance, Calif., will travel across the U.S. and arrive on the Boardwalk in Atlantic City, N.J. before returning to California.

* The Corbitt’s goal is to do the trip on natural gas available through publicly accessible fueling stations. They will participate in AFV Odyssey Day events, public CNG fueling station Grand Openings, a press event at a natural gas drilling operation, tours of biogas plants and CNG conversion shops and more, as they travel across the country.

* In order to let the nation follow their progress, the car will be equipped with a GPS tracking system, supplied by Green Road, Inc., as part of their fleet telematics solution. “This will be a first for this type of event and allow people to actually locate and follow the vehicle both to and between events to show their support,” said Mr. Martin.

Allstar provided more than 30 RV rentals to government agencies, the Red Cross and various utility and insurance companies following Hurricane Katrina. “As a Florida based company we profoundly understand what is needed after a storm and we’ll do what we can to help,” says Rob Tischler CEO of Allstar.

Tropical Storm Isaac, once a category 1 hurricane made its landfall yesterday in Southern Louisiana at 6:45 p.m. local time and has been ravaging New Orleans and the Gulf Coast region for more than 24 hours with flooding rains, wind gusts exceeding 100 miles per hour and potentially deadly tidal surges. Isaac is expected to continue wreaking havoc and remain over the area until late Thursday or early Friday. The storm has caused massive power outages, and appears to have caused widespread catastrophic damage, never before seen from a category 1 hurricane.

FEMA, The American Red Cross and various insurance carriers themselves used the motorhome rental units in a variety of missions following Katrina and are expected to do the same after Isaac passes. These units are self-contained with internal generators and large fuel tanks designed to allow long term use in areas where power might not be available. These RV’s can be used as mobile command and control centers, as a base for rescue and repair operations and as temporary housing for both out of town personnel brought in to deal with this catastrophe as well as those displaced by the storm.

According to Tischler, “Government agencies, utility and insurance providers will be given top priority; and additional units will be made ready for individuals as they become available.” Tischler advises that displaced residents should check with their insurance carriers to see if the cost of temporary housing is covered by their policies, indicating that most insurance companies will indeed cover these costs if it becomes necessary.

Von Isanogle, Allstar’s Fleet Operations Director, says “all of our locations have implemented their emergency action plans and are standing by, ready to begin moving vehicles to the Gulf Coast as soon as it becomes safe to do so.”

Allstar (www.allstarcoaches.com) operates a fleet of luxury motorhome rentals which are available for delivery nationwide from their strategically located offices in nine states.

For further information please contact the Emergency Operations Desk at Allstar Coaches (866) 838-4465 or send an inquiry to info@allstarcoaches.com.
