INDIANA, Pa., Dec. 18, 2012 (SEND2PRESS NEWSWIRE) — Zen-tinel, a national manufacturer and distributor of mobile surveillance systems is pleased to announce it has partnered with Safety, Claims and Litigation Services, LLC (SCLS), an affiliate of National Interstate Insurance Company, to provide Accident Event Recorder (AER) technology to school bus contractors. As a preferred vendor partner, Zen-tinel is offering camera systems which are proven to enhance driver performance, reduce accidents and save lives.

Zen-tinel’s Continuous Event Camera system is equipped with three cameras designed to monitor specific areas of the bus. One camera records views from the vehicle’s front window; a second camera captures the driver and the stairs of the bus; while a third records the children in their seats. In the case of an accident, the AER video footage provides concrete evidence to help understand the causes of the event and exonerate drivers when they are not at fault.

Zen-tinel’s G-force software also maintains a database of unsafe behaviors such as hard braking, unnecessary idling, and rapid acceleration. Reviewing these events is extremely valuable in coaching and training drivers, and results in improved driver safety, fewer accidents, and a reduction of unnecessary and costly litigation.

Larry Vaughn, President of Zen-tinel, said, “SCLS and National Interstate, like Zen-tinel, are committed to the safety of every child, and we are proud to partner with a leading provider of passenger transportation insurance. AERs can only help lower bus accidents and fatalities among schoolchildren while keeping safety affordable for the districts.”

Jim Parks, Vice President of National Interstate, said, “We are pleased to assist our clients by offering AER technology through SCLS’ customer loyalty program. Our goal is to provide a mechanism to help school bus contractors control their insurance costs while making transportation safer for drivers, children and the general public. It’s not surprising that safer drivers have fewer and less severe accidents, resulting in improved claims experience and lower overall insurance premiums.”

INDIANA, Pa. (SEND2PRESS NEWSWIRE) -- Zen-tinel, a national manufacturer and distributor of mobile surveillance systems, has developed a new stop-arm camera to identify drivers who illegally pass stopped school buses.

INDIANA, Pa., Sept. 19, 2012 (SEND2PRESS NEWSWIRE) — Zen-tinel, a national manufacturer and distributor of mobile surveillance systems, has developed a new stop-arm camera to identify drivers who illegally pass stopped school buses.

Zen-tinel stop-arm cameras installed on the outside of buses automatically record any vehicle passing the bus while the stop-arm is extended without having to rely on driver activation.

Up to three cameras capture images of front and back license plates, as well as the face of the driver. These images can be turned over to law enforcement and used to prosecute drivers who illegally pass stopped school buses.

In fact, newly installed Zen-tinel stop-arm cameras have caught three drivers who violated Pennsylvania school bus stop sign laws in the first week of implementation in the Altoona Area School District. Pennsylvania law requires all vehicles to stop while a school bus is stopped with red lights flashing and a stop arm extended according to the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation.

Dana Vinglish, operations manager of Altoona Student Transportation, Inc., which handles the transportation for Altoona Area School District stated, “Mounting of the plate that holds the camera is quick and allows the camera to be moved from bus to bus easily. The entire system and mounting plates are school bus yellow so they blend perfectly.”

Vinglish stated that it was an eye-opening experience for one local driver. “The police officer questioned the gentleman who ran the red lights and the driver continuously denied the incident until the officer explained that the police possessed a photograph of the violator’s vehicle as it passed the school bus.”

Portable cameras save school districts money as only about 20 percent of a fleet needs to be outfitted. Problem routes can be targeted by transferring cameras between buses. GPS tracking also is available to map the location of a violation, helping to identify specific areas of need. With stop-arm cameras installed and the help of law enforcement, the danger of illegal school bus passing can be reduced. Zen-tinel’s stop-arm cameras are affordable for any school district.

“Safety should be the top concern of bus operators,” said Larry Vaughn, Zen-tinel president. “Catching motorists who pass stopped school buses is the best way to ensure that level of safety. Our hope is that it will act as a deterrent for other drivers. Awareness of the law is key to stopping violations. Once a driver gets a ticket for passing a school bus, he won’t do it again.”

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind., Sept. 5, 2012 (SEND2PRESS NEWSWIRE) — Heart IT, the global leader that pioneered the first FDA approved zero-footprint medical imaging workstation, has joined Hendricks Regional Health to announce the implementation of Heart IT’s WebPAX® platform to help manage and distribute cardiac images.

Hendricks Regional Health is a non-profit Magnet® hospital located in Danville, Indiana, serving the residents of central Indiana and west-suburban Indianapolis. Hendricks Regional Health needed an effective approach for distributing cardiology images to the physicians tasked with reading the images. WebPAX® was able to provide an optimal solution for the hospital through several key features. WebPAX® allows Hendricks Regional Health to acquire cardiology images directly from their scanners and then make those images available to cardiologists on the web, on a zero-footprint basis. Despite being web-based, WebPAX® provides diagnostic quality with FDA 510k clearance. This unique capability converts virtually any computer with Internet access into a workstation.

Donna Haggard, MSN, RN, Clinical Director of the Cardiac Catheterization Lab at Hendricks Regional Health, stated the following: “WebPAX® provided the ideal solution to our organization. It is critical that we deliver or make it possible for physicians on-site to receive medical images in an effective and timely manner. Unfortunately, medical images are often distributed manually by printing CDs and then physically delivering those discs to different locations via courier. The WebPAX® technology allows us to receive the image from the scanner and make it immediately available on the web. Our Cardiologists are then able to read the image quickly – regardless of their location. Our goal is to provide the best medical care to our community. WebPAX® is allowing us to deliver the top quality care that our patients expect from us.”

About Heart IT:
Founded in 2000 and headquartered near North Carolina’s Research Triangle Park, Heart IT is a global leader in the medical image web enablement field. Their flagship product, WebPAX® is the first FDA approved zero foot-print medical image workstation. It provides web-based medical image management technology and services to health care systems, large hospitals and private clinics as well as drug and device companies sponsoring multi-center clinical trials. Worldwide, WebPAX® systems currently provide secure web browser access to over one billion medical images. For more information visit our website at www.heartit.com.

About Hendricks Regional Health:
Driven by increased demand for its energy saving solutions and several commitments from major North American grocery retailers that extend into 2012, Indiana production of REMIS doors will now include the RemiSafe T line.

REMIS has hired 25 employees year to date and that total includes engineers, production employees, installation technicians and support staff with plans to add 15 more new employees by the end of 2011.

Safe T doors were launched in late 2010 by REMIS GmbH in Cologne, Germany. At EuroShop in February 2011 which took place in Dusseldorf, Germany, the Safe T doors were on display and North American retailers that came to the REMIS booth demanded we bring those doors to the states, explains Matt Pletcher REMIS AMERICA managing director. “It was necessary to move our most popular product lines to our Elkhart facility to give our customers the best possible experience. Not only does it allow us to have more control and better timing to satisfy our grocery retailer requirements, but also it lets us invest in our local workforce. The Elkhart area was hit hard by the recession and we at REMIS AMERICA are proud of doing our part to bring it out of the recession.”

Since the company’s inception in 2008, REMIS has brought over 45 jobs to the Elkhart area. “We remain dedicated to the Elkhart county workforce,” says REMIS CEO Jim Schwartz. “Our company is a local family business and we understand all the resources Indiana has to offer. As our business expands, we will no doubt continue to look toward the local workforce and Indiana suppliers to support our growth.”

REMIS AMERICA offers retro-fit refrigeration doors and covers to grocery retailers and OEM case manufacturers that cut energy costs up to 80 percent while also greatly reducing retailers’ carbon footprint.

REMIS AMERICA’S eco-friendly, energy saving systems are unrivaled in keeping energy consumption low by providing a full range of medium temperature insulated glass doors and bunker freezer covers, installation and service.

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind., Feb. 16 (SEND2PRESS NEWSWIRE) — In a U.S. economy that needs a boost, Preferred Stadium and Theater Seating and Preferred Seating Designs are excited to announce that they will be creating new designs for high-quality stadium and theater seats through a partnership with three Midwest manufacturers.

Preferred Stadium and Theater Seating will focus on the marketing; Preferred Seating Designs on stadium design build; its partners will handle manufacturing.

“Of course we are thrilled to release new and exciting products in the theater seating arena,” says Frank Sumner, President for Preferred Stadium and Theater Seating, “but we are equally as excited about the impact that it will have on creating American manufacturing jobs.”

The first stadium seats to be released are the Liberty stadium seat and the Tuf seat. The upscale Liberty stadium seat design is manufactured with robotic quality precision and durability; the Tuf Seat is perfect for tighter budgets and may be retrofit onto existing bleachers or risers. Both are compliant with the American Disabilities Act.

Typically, performing art centers and conference centers require more upscale seating. Some more traditional theater seating venues may include: movie theaters, school auditoriums, lecture halls and service areas. Courthouses often are in need of fixed, individual-type seating as well as arena and larger spectator areas.

And, with the continued growth of mega churches, Concert seats are meeting the needs for church seating. These seats provide more leg room and back-to-back spacing. Fold-up, compact theater seats allow for additional space for increased traffic flow through the aisles and for greater seating capacity.

Sumner adds that, “Current outsourcing and importation of auditorium and stadium seats from countries where labor and materials are less expensive, has contributed to a weakened U.S. economy and unemployment; we aim to reverse this trend.”

About Preferred Stadium and Theater Seating:
Preferred Seating Designs LLC specializes in the complete design build of athletic facilities and other large public assembly seating venues. Tiered seating occurs on more than one elevation in the same structure and includes grandstands, bleachers, telescoping and folding seating. From small movable aluminum benches to giant grandstands that cannot be moved, bleachers have flexibility unlike any spectator seating.

The company is led by Richard Barrios, president; and Frank Sumner, vice president. Barrios is recognized as a leading bleacher-seating designer and works regularly with most major U.S.-bleacher manufacturers to design, stamp and approve these types of projects.

With more than 20 years of industry experience, these products are marketed throughout the U.S. and Canada.

(SEND2PRESS NEWSWIRE) — The Open Information Security Foundation (OISF) today announced that nPulse Technologies, LLC has joined the consortium as its first Gold Level member. “The OISF is excited about the support nPulse and Napatech will provide,” said Matt Jonkman, Board Member at the Open Information Security Foundation.

“As leaders in the acceleration market they have invaluable advice and engineering expertise to lend our development team. nPulse’s work to enable the Suricata engine to natively take advantage of Napatech’s technology will open up new market opportunities for Suricata.”

(SEND2PRESS NEWSWIRE) — The Butler University Bulldogs are celebrating a number of achievements for the 2009-2010 athletic seasons. Not only did the Butler Bulldogs advance to the NCAA’s magical Final Four in basketball, but on the gridiron, the Bulldogs achieved record-setting milestones by going 11-1, topping the Pioneer Football League, capturing their first post-season win and winning the Gridiron Classic and the Hoosier Helmet Trophy. And success on the field has now translated into achievements of another flavor.

On April 19th, Butler University Director of Athletics Barry Collier announced a major renovation initiative for the 72-year old Butler Bowl. “The renovations at the Bowl will provide a great venue for our student-athletes and coaches to compete in and will support their tireless effort to accomplish team goals.” stated Collier.

After an exhaustive search, Butler selected the award-winning team of Southern Bleacher Company of Graham Texas to manufacture and install their new state of the art bleacher system. Butler also selected architects OMS of Indianapolis Indiana and general contractor Venturi Paine Construction of Indianapolis Indiana. The renovation of the facility just east of Butler University’s historic Hinkle Fieldhouse will increase the seating capacity to 5,547 with the addition of 5,109 new bleacher seats including suites along the west side of the field and 438 new bleacher seats for visiting fans on the east side.

Funded by the ButlerRising capital campaign, the renovations to the Butler Bowl mark a milestone for the stadium renovated in 1955 and 2004. Originally built in 1928, the Butler Bowl is home to BU’s football and men’s and women’s soccer programs. The current renovations are scheduled to be completed in time for the fall season and include seating by American Seating Company and Southern Bleacher’s premium Vertical Rail system – an alternative to traditional chain link. Vertical Rail can be installed anywhere chain link is currently in use and can also be used in combination with chain link and offers a clean, attractive and stylish safety option. It enhances entrance and exit ramps and portals. It creates a pleasing contrast with the horizontal lines of our anodized aluminum pickets that can be finished with Southern Bleacher’s Dur-kyn paint system for a lively and individualized appearance.

Southern Bleacher’s Garrett Pettus, “The renovation project represents an important milestone not only for the Butler Bulldog’s athletic aspirations, but also highlights Southern Bleachers’ ability to deliver award-winning products and services at an extremely competitive price given current economic market conditions. We are proud to partner with Butler University and the ButlerRising capital campaign committee to quickly deliver on our brand promise and look to complete the project before the 2010 football campaign begins and see the Butler Bulldogs to another Pioneer Football League championship.”
