BETHESDA, Md., Dec. 12, 2011 (SEND2PRESS NEWSWIRE) — M3 congratulates David Grant PhD and his team at the UCLA Center for Health Policy Research for their landmark November 2011 study outlining California’s unmet Mental Health needs. Consistent with an earlier nationwide survey, this new study found that only half of Californians with mental illness receive treatment, while just one in four receives adequate treatment.

Review study at (PDF): healthpolicy.ucla.edu/pubs/files/MentalHealthreportnov2011.pdf .

Recent nationwide healthcare reform supports screening by mandating coverage, including the elimination of co-pays, for adult depression screening in doctors’ offices. As a state-of-the-art multi-dimensional screen designed to fit this role, the M3′s validity was demonstrated in the March 2010 Annals of Family Medicine.

Fostering office-centered patient engagement in accord with the Medical Home model, M3 offers clinicians a web-based portal for screening and longitudinal tracking of progress for these conditions, while fulfilling criteria for physician reimbursement. Cloud-based and HIPAA-compliant, M3Clinician.com requires no investment in software or hardware. Compatible with the Apple iPad and other similar devices, this game-changing option maximizes clinical engagement with the patient by providing efficient clinical decision support at the point of care. The M3 provides a total score, measuring the overall symptom burden, while four subscores indicate specific risks for depression, anxiety, PTSD and bipolar disorders.

The M3 offers this same powerful tool to large managed care plans and individual practices, and the reports generated are readily incorporated into most Electronic Health Record systems.

Fortunately, individuals with mental illness can find support at mymoodmonitor.com, where M3 provides, in English and Spanish, a free confidential screen for mood and anxiety disorders. The free screen can also be found, along with other valuable resources, at Mental Health America’s website. Many people are aware of how common depression is, yet do not realize anxiety disorders are even more prevalent, and that bipolar disorder is often overlooked or misdiagnosed. The National Institute of Mental Health, through its sponsorship of the Grand Challenges of Global Mental Health, listed as the first of its 25 challenges to “integrate screening and core packages of services into routine primary health care.” Armed with an understanding of mood and anxiety symptoms, individuals are more likely to actively engage in the effective treatments that are available. The new California study once again demonstrates how mental illness can worsen or complicate other chronic physical conditions, like diabetes, heart disease and high blood pressure, and increase the risk for obesity and tobacco and alcohol dependence.

An instructional video demonstrating the M3 screen can be found on YouTube at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gdBTCtosSIs&layer_token=b3b8c6b68e61ac4d .

BETHESDA, Md., Aug. 8, 2011 (SEND2PRESS NEWSWIRE) — ADF Solutions, Inc., the global leader in site exploitation and digital forensic triage, today announced a partnership with High Tech Crime Institute (HTCI), the global leader in the field of computer crime investigation and computer forensics, that will provide law enforcement investigators high quality training and education on the industry’s leading forensic triage tools. ADF and HTCI have teamed to create a training course that provides investigators and case agents the core skills and knowledge to conduct automated and case specific scans of computers and digital media using ADF Triage-Examiner® for the express purpose of collecting digital evidence.

Using ADF Triage-Examiner®, field investigators leverage a simple USB deployment to quickly and easily scan suspect computers and immediately view the scan results, improving the efficiency of collecting digital evidence and to ultimately help accelerate the resolution of cases. For example, immediate access to conclusive evidence collected in the field can be immediately leveraged for onsite interviews of suspects; provide valuable information about other potential onsite physical evidence; and save time by quickly identifying devices that don’t contain viable digital evidence. Also, by using a proven, forensically sound process, the investigator can quickly provide prosecutors the written reports needed to move cases through the legal system faster.

“We are excited to join with an organization that shares our level of commitment to provide innovative tools and forward thinking solutions into the hands of law enforcement and government agencies,” said Harry Parsonage, Forensic Triage Expert at ADF Solutions. “It is through cooperative efforts such as this, investigators will have easy access to the highest quality training for vital tools they use to track down and convict criminals.”

As an added bonus for agencies and departments, HTCI has created a special offer which includes a complete software license for ADF Triage-Examiner®, ADF Triage Kit, and a two day Digital First Responder Training® course, all for a discounted price of $1959. The first class is scheduled for October 4-5, 2011, and will be held at the HTCI facility in Largo, FL. For registration information please contact Florence Uvanni at Florence@gohtci.com or 1-813-343-0766 x207.

BETHESDA, Md. (SEND2PRESS NEWSWIRE) -- M3Clinician, the evidenced-based behavioral health portal, allows patients to take the screen using the Apple iPad; provides the clinician immediate clinical decision support at the point of care.

BETHESDA, Md., March 9 (SEND2PRESS NEWSWIRE) — M3Clinician.com, the evidenced-based behavioral health portal, allows patients to take the screen using the Apple iPad; provides the clinician immediate clinical decision support at the point of care.

“M3Clinician.com is the first behavioral health site of its kind. It offers a single evidence-based, multi-dimensional screen; decision support for clinicians, and longitudinal monitoring for continuing care,” explains Robert M. Post, M.D., a recipient of the NAMI 2011 Mind of America Scientific Research Award and member of the M-3 Collaborative. This option is very meaningful to everyone but especially military and student populations that benefit from early intervention.

Says Larry Culpepper, Chair of Family Medicine at Boston University: “M3Clinician.com’s clinical decision support really facilitates a meaningful doctor-patient dialogue at the point of care. Not only does it improve the quality of care, it improves the care experience for patients and providers. Because it is brief and easy to use we can now readily screen all of our primary care patients. In turn, this should foster among our patients the feeling that for nearly any life problem they bring us, they have come to the right place. M3 Clinician should help advance The Medical Home care model.”

M3 Clinician’s single multi-dimensional checklist was demonstrated to match the combined accuracy of four highly-regarded single-diagnosis mental health screens, according to a recent validation study by researchers at the University of North Carolina. (Published in the Annals of Family Medicine.) “M3 can reduce missed psychiatric diagnoses enabling proper treatment of identified cases,” writes lead author Bradley N. Gaynes, MD, MPH, a growing problem in U.S. healthcare.

M3Clinician was engineered to integrate and interoperate with Practice Management, EMR, and HIS systems as well as HIEs and PHRs. There is no software to install, no server to maintain, and no infrastructure to worry about. Providers can access M3Clinician at www.M3Clinician.com or from their EMR/PM/HIS/HIE system(s).

Clinicians appreciate that M3Clinician may qualify for reimbursement as a Health Risk Assessment (CPT code 99420), HCPCS and Medicare Annual Wellness Visit. Moreover, M3Clinician promotes immediate, paperless care collaboration among providers, consultants, and other care team member. M3Clinician is taking aim at primary care; the medical point of contact for the vast majority of the population.

About the M-3 Checklist: Since the publication of the validation article in March, 2010 the M-3 Checklist has been taken by people in over 120 countries and in all 50 states.

The M-3 Checklist was developed by M-3 Information, a team of mental health, strategic communications, and information management experts, including Robert M. Post, MD and Larry Culpepper, MD, Chairman of the Department of Family Medicine at Boston University.

Image Caption: The patient can take the screen on the Apple iPad in English or Spanish in the waiting room.

(SEND2PRESS NEWSWIRE) — ADF Solutions Inc., the leading provider of forensic triage tools for computers and peripherals, announced today that the company has been selected by the Department of Homeland Security to develop a universal triage field kit that will aid law enforcement officers in the immediate extraction of information and evidence from computers and other devices involved in active criminal or terrorist investigations.

Law enforcement officers and forensic examiners face a constant challenge to stay ahead of the latest technologies encountered every day during their investigations. In addition, the amount of digital data of these investigations has grown exponentially over the past few years, resulting in overwhelming forensic backlogs.

ADF Solutions has been providing law enforcement agencies with tools to improve digital investigations since 2005. The tools are used by both technical and nontechnical users. They have had proven success at allowing investigators to quickly identify conclusive digital evidence to pursue their investigations without unnecessary delays, resulting in record conviction times worldwide. The tools have also been integrated in forensic triage programs by forensic examiners to successfully reduce forensic backlogs with minimal risk.

“ADF Solutions was selected for this project because we are the only company with experience in building forensic triage tools for nontechnical users and have an extensive user base worldwide,” said J.J. Wallia, CEO and co-founder of ADF Solutions. “Our plan is to leverage our existing investigator tools and develop the equivalent of a PC Breathalyzer for first responders to use on computers. We are looking forward to working with the Department of Homeland Security on this project.”

The new tool will be named Triage-Responder(R) to complement the current Triage-Examiner(R), Triage-Investigator(R), Triage-G2(R), and Triage-Lab(R) solutions offered by the company. Triage-Responder is currently scheduled to be released in the second quarter of 2011.

About ADF Solutions:

ADF Solutions Inc is the global leader in forensic triage tools for rapid evidence recovery and intelligence extraction from computers and peripheral devices. The tools have a proven track record of reducing forensic backlogs, securing fast convictions, and identifying suspects who are a threat to national security. The tools are designed to be used by both technical and nontechnical users and are widely deployed for both field and lab investigations.

BETHESDA, Md. (SEND2PRESS NEWSWIRE) — ADF Solutions, Inc., the leading provider of forensic triage tools for computers and peripherals, is pleased to announce that it has been granted a patent by the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office pertaining to methods of searching forensic data. The patent has critical applications for forensic triage, cyber-security, cyber-intelligence, digital forensics, and e-discovery.

The patent covers the company’s innovative SearchPak® technology, which enables an organization to capture its digital forensic investigative strategy and share it across organizations and with other individuals while not revealing the actual content. The SearchPak hides the complexity of the detailed forensic search definition and stores it in a secure container that can be deployed and used by non-forensically trained operators. This process allows analysts and forensic examiners to control precisely the job performed by the operators.

For law enforcement and intelligence agencies, the SearchPak technology allows the agencies to share digital intelligence for investigations while still maintaining secrecy. This has been a major breakthrough for key agencies, as the inability to share key intelligence was identified as a major issue leading to the 9/11 attacks.

“This patent rewards ADF’s efforts to bring innovative technologies to the digital forensics and cyber-security fields,” said Raphael Bousquet, CTO and co-founder of ADF Solutions. “We are working on many other technologies as innovative as our SearchPaks, such as CapturePaks™ and ActivitySensor™, to extend the applicability of our tools.”

The company has several other patents pending.
