COSTA MESA, Calif., April 11, 2012 (SEND2PRESS NEWSWIRE) — LendingQB, a seamless mortgage lending platform provider, announced that iServe Residential Lending, LLC, a retail mortgage banker, has reported a dramatic increase in employee productivity, slashed technology costs, and reduced costs per loan since implementing LendingQB. iServe selected LendingQB approximately a year ago because it eliminated having to use multiple platforms, databases and integrations.

“We were previously using three different systems that were technically integrated together, but they still had a number of issues,” said Michael Wilson, director of operations at iServe. “The system-to-system communication was poor, integrations often required employees to re-key data, and we had to call three different vendors when we needed technical support. This was hampering our operational performance. We came to the conclusion that we needed to look for a single provider that could efficiently do the job of these three vendors.”

During the diligence process, iServe was provided with the opportunity to test drive the LOS unencumbered from that of a traditional sales-guided demo, allowing the lender to run a loan through the entire LendingQB system from start to finish. Dubbed the “Guest Suite Invitation,” lenders are able to work with the solution in an isolated environment to ensure it meets their specific needs.

“Working successfully in LendingQB’s Guest Suite Invitation empowered us with the insight to ensure the platform would work for us,” said Wilson. “Immediately after implementing LendingQB, we were able to completely eliminate any re-keying of data, realize greater employee productivity via tighter workflows, and work towards being paperless in the same system. This reduces our cost per loan by an estimated 30 percent and optimizes every single area of our lending practice, from origination through secondary marketing and interim servicing. The improved communications and data integrity of being on one platform has substantially improved our operations.”

“We don’t consider ourselves to be just another loan origination system (LOS) vendor that loosely uses the ‘end-to-end’ buzzword,” said Binh Dang, president of LendingQB. “We like to move away from this overused term and instead refer to our platform for what it really is – a seamlessly connected profit optimization system that is focused on the lender’s business first and foremost. The bottom line should be the bottom line. We advise our clients on how to develop their workflows to reduce cost per loan and increase productivity. That’s how we help clients ‘win the lending game’ in ways they never knew were possible. Sure, our platform is end-to-end, but it’s also much more.”

Key to the LendingQB platform:
* 100 percent Web-based platform delivered as SaaS and residing in the cloud environment reduces hard technology costs by 70 percent;
* All-in-one platform eliminates many feeble best-of-breed integrations, lowering cost per loan by 25 – 30 percent;
* Built-in AUS increases pull-through rate by 40 percent or more;
* Seamlessly connected workflows and transparency for all lending functions;
* Single database eliminates the errors associated with the re-keying of data and the system-to-system communication issues often encountered when using multiple platforms;
* Proven to reduce cost per loan, increase productivity and optimize operations;
* Sophisticated analytics that utilizes a lender’s data to drive business intelligence (BI);
* Responsive customer service and development;
* Highly scalable, flexible and configurable.

Notable is that LendingQB was introduced to the marketplace in December of 2011, but select lenders have been successfully using the platform while LendingQB continued to add ancillary functionality in preparation for its formal launch. Clients were instrumental in working closely with LendingQB to perfect the platform as an all-in-one solution that automates the entire lending process. The result was a tested, tried and true 100 percent Web-based platform that seamlessly connects all lending workflows with complete transparency.

COSTA MESA, Calif. (SEND2PRESS NEWSWIRE) -- Renaissance Surgical Arts at Newport Harbor announced today that it is the first outpatient surgery center in the Western U.S. to offer intraoperative radiotherapy (IORT) using the INTRABEAM System - the only device used in the TARGIT-A multicenter human clinical trial that demonstrated IORT to be as effective as traditional radiation for certain women with early breast cancer.

COSTA MESA, Calif., Feb. 10 (SEND2PRESS NEWSWIRE) — Renaissance Surgical Arts at Newport Harbor announced today that it is the first outpatient surgery center in the Western United States to offer intraoperative radiotherapy (IORT) using the INTRABEAM® System – the only device used in the TARGIT-A multicenter human clinical trial that demonstrated IORT to be as effective as traditional radiation for certain women with early breast cancer.

IORT has the potential to replace as many as six and a half weeks of routine radiation therapy with 20-30 minutes of targeted radiation administered during surgery directly to the tumor site after lumpectomy.

“IORT is a game-changer for women facing breast cancer – I like to call it one and done,” said Dr. Alice Police, breast surgeon at Renaissance and co-founder of Pacific Breast Care in Newport Beach, Calif. “For some women in the earlier stages of breast cancer, IORT makes it possible for them to have one surgery consisting of lumpectomy and single-dose radiation therapy and then go on with their life having completed their breast cancer treatment.”

Unlike whole breast radiation treatment, which is administered five times per week for as many as six and a half weeks, IORT provides patients with a targeted single-dose radiation treatment delivered intraoperatively after removal of the tumor. Radiation is applied for 20-30 minutes, exposing the affected tissue in the tumor bed from the inside.

“Dr. Police’s passion for IORT as a revolutionary development in treating early breast cancers aligned with our mission to deliver the best surgical technologies available to patients in a comfortable and private outpatient environment,” said Bruce Wallace, CEO and Administrator for Renaissance Surgical Arts at Newport Harbor. “We looked at IORT device manufacturers and it was clear that the INTRABEAM System was the only responsible choice given its exclusive use in the TARGIT-A Clinical trial which provides 10 years of study and follow-up data to back its safety and efficacy.”

The INTRABEAM System was the only radiotherapy device used in the TARGIT-A clinical trial, the largest randomized clinical trial conducted in the field of IORT for the treatment of breast cancer. The TARGIT-A trial was launched in 2000 and it enrolled 2,232 human patients throughout 28 centers in nine countries. With up to 10-years of follow-up data, the study results demonstrate the equivalency of single-dose targeted IORT in comparison to external beam radiation therapy (EBRT) based on local recurrence.

Renaissance is one of only two outpatient surgery centers in the entire country to offer IORT using the INTRABEAM System, and is the only outpatient facility in the Western United States. It is also the only location at all offering treatment in Orange, Riverside and San Diego counties using the clinically proven INTRABEAM System technology.

“After learning about IORT from Dr. Police, I did my own research on the options, risks and benefits of whole breast and partial breast radiation in comparison to IORT,” said Gila Jones, 58 of San Juan Capistrano, Calif. “After feeling confident about effectiveness based on the TARGIT-A outcomes and considering my own lifestyle and other health concerns, IORT became the obvious choice for me. Dr. Police did my surgery at Renaissance where I was treated as an honored guest.”

Patients need to be evaluated by a specialist to determine if they are a good candidate for IORT. To find out if you or someone you know is an IORT candidate, contact Renaissance Surgical Arts at Newport Harbor at 949-629-1400.

COSTA MESA, Calif. (SEND2PRESS NEWSWIRE) — Renaissance Surgical Arts at Newport Harbor, a new cutting edge multispecialty ambulatory surgery center in Orange County, celebrated its official Grand Opening on Saturday, Oct. 23. Costa Mesa Mayor Allan Mansoor and Ronnie Guyer, district representative for Assemblyman Van Tran, were among the local officials, physicians and 400 guests that celebrated the addition of Renaissance, and its new model for exceptional patient care, to the community.

“We are so proud to have Renaissance here in our community,” said Mayor Mansoor. “We recognize that high-quality healthcare is among the most important and valued services to residents.”

Renaissance is a Joint Commission and Medicare certified facility that brings a new standard of care to the area with leading edge surgical technology, an unmatched commitment to infection control, and concierge style patient care. The Center is home to some of the most advanced technology available anywhere in the United States and is a national showroom for new and emerging equipment.

“We’re here today because some very special physicians in this community believed in a new vision for ambulatory surgical care,” said Bruce Wallace, CEO of the Center. “We worked with these surgeons to create a new approach to the outpatient environment that could restore patient privacy, provide better safeguards from infectious disease and allow doctors to direct the care of their patients.”

The majority physician-owned facility was built from the ground up to support current and future technologies that will continue to improve surgical outcomes and patient care. Today Renaissance is a consummate example of infection control and how the thoughtful application of technology results in a highly efficient operation that actually reduces costs in a sustainable model.

“We do not believe that exceptional patient care and reduced costs are mutually exclusive,” said Wallace. “In fact, we’ve proven that they are actually inclusive.”

COSTA MESA, Calif. (SEND2PRESS NEWSWIRE) — Renaissance Surgical Arts at Newport Harbor today announced that it has met or exceeded compliance with the Joint Commission’s national standards for health care quality and safety, earning the Joint Commission’s Gold Seal of Approval. This is the second accreditation for Renaissance, the multispecialty ambulatory surgery center opened in August 2010 with its accreditation from IMQ (Institute of Medical Quality).

“Renaissance was designed to set a new standard of care by embracing the philosophy of Joint Commission and working to exceed national standards,” said Bruce Wallace, CEO. “We have worked very hard to bring together all available technologies, best practice knowledge and world-class physicians to build a facility that raises outpatient surgical care to new levels of excellence.”

The Joint Commission conducted an unannounced, on-site evaluation of Renaissance on Sept. 23, 2010. The accreditation award recognized Renaissance’s dedication to complying with the Joint Commission’s state-of-the-art standards on a continuous basis. An independent, not-for-profit organization, The Joint Commission is the nation’s most established and largest standards-setting and accrediting body in healthcare.

“Achieving accreditation demonstrates Renaissance has voluntarily sought an independent evaluation of its compliance with state-of-the-art performance standards,” says Michael Kulczycki, executive director, Ambulatory Care Accreditation Program, The Joint Commission.

Renaissance is a professionally managed, but majority physician-owned facility. With eight ORs and two procedure rooms, the 20,000-plus square foot outpatient facility demonstrates how to marry cutting edge technology in a patient-centric environment that is as beautiful as it is functional. Infection control was a paramount factor in driving the center’s design to take advantage of every available technology and best practice to eliminate the possibility of infection to patients.

The multispecialty outpatient center supports the area’s best physicians representing a wide variety of specialties, including Cardiology, Ear Nose and Throat, Gastroenterology, Neurosurgery, Orthopedics, Spinal, Ophthalmology, Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, Podiatry, Oncology, Interventional Radiology, GYN and General Surgery.

COSTA MESA, Calif. (SEND2PRESS NEWSWIRE) — Samurai Cop Self Defense and InControl announce The Bully and Me, a new, comprehensive course that will train children how to handle bullies and avoid becoming bully-targets. The Bully and Me will be offered through Costa Mesa Parks and Recreation and will be available Mondays starting Oct. 4, 2010 from 6:00 – 7:00 p.m. for ten weeks. The class will be open to children between the ages of 9 and 17. Instructor, Sensei Richard Milenkovich, will be conducting the class at Shuyokan Dojo located at 1360 Logan Ave, Suite #108 in Costa Mesa, California.

Registration for the class is conducted through Costa Mesa Parks and Recreation – call 714-327-7525. For more information, please go to: http://www.samuraicop.com/course-descriptions.html#the-bully-and-me .

Milenkovich and wife Cynthia, a former teacher, conceived the basis for The Bully and Me after reading about Phoebe Prince in Hadley, Massachusetts who had committed suicide after being severely bullied. The concept attracted the attention of Sensei David Dye, a retired Costa Mesa Police Officer who is the Chief Instructor at the Shuyokan Dojo, which has been based in Costa Mesa since 1980. Dye contributed to the title for the class, and offered Milenkovich the opportunity to teach The Bully and Me as part of the Samurai Cop Self Defense Program.

Dye’s popular program has trained and promoted black belts among hundreds of Costa Mesa youth. Considering Dye’s history of service to youth in Orange County, the Milenkoviches feel his dojo is the ideal place to launch an anti-bully program for kids.

“We aim to foster a culture in which bullying is invalidated,” says Sensei Milenkovich. “That’s what’s revolutionary, because bullies have often had some degree of social validation. The workshop will provide a variety of techniques for dealing with bullies. The class will cover basic self-defense, self-esteem, cultivating social alliances and effectively communicating with authorities in a variety of environments. We will also work with parents, so they too can understand how to support and be an advocate for their children. We will establish a code of conduct-an effective tool in Samurai Cop training.”

“Bullying is viral,” says Cynthia Milenkovich, “and the rise of cyber-bullying means it spreads at light speed.” Her passion stems from teaching experiences and the more personal heartbreak of seeing the effects of bullying on her son.

“That’s why we’re doing this,” she continues. “The Bully and Me workshop is a multi-pronged, multi-layered immunization against this deadly disease. If a child is being traumatized by bullying, this class could be a lifesaver.”

The Milenkoviches make themselves available to speak at schools, churches, businesses and other organizations on anti-bullying techniques. Richard Milenkovich also addresses conflict management, workplace bullying and martial arts.

About Sensei Richard Milenkovich:

Sensei Richard Milenkovich, Founder of InControl (www.incontrolmrm.blogspot.com – a forum for conflict management thought leaders and a conflict management resource) assists with the Samurai Cop classes at Shuyokan Dojo in Costa Mesa. Sensei Milenkovich holds two second-degree black belts: one in Shin Shin Toitsu Aikido and one in Shuyokan Ryu Aikijutsu. Milenkovich is an experienced public speaker on Conflict Management and has taught martial arts for 15-plus years.

About Sensei David Dye:

Dye Sensei began his martial arts training in 1962 with the study of Kodokan Judo. He has studied a variety of arts, including Shito-Ryu, Shotokan Karate, Hawaiian Lua, etc. He holds advanced black belts across multiple martial arts. In 1967 he became a full time Costa Mesa Police Officer and retired in 1997 after serving 30 years. He is the recipient of a plethora of awards and recognitions from the highest echelons of the martial arts community, a published author, producer and expert consultant for the Film and Television industry.

Dye Sensei is the founder of Shuyokan, a dojo that has been serving the community of Costa Mesa since 1980 and offers group classes, seminars and private lessons for adults, youth and, law enforcement in both the traditional and practical training aspects of such martial arts as Yoshinkan Aikido, Kodokan Judo, Jujutsu, Shotokan Karate Jutsu and Hawaiian Lua.

(SEND2PRESS NEWSWIRE) — Smart Imagination, a creative house and publisher with a focal point of serving humanitarian efforts, today announces its debut book in the Tattoo Stories series benefiting Starlight Children’s Foundation. The art of tattoos has intrigued many people in various cultures around the world. “Tattoo Stories” (ISBN: 978-0-9842417-0-5) not only addresses taboos plaguing the art form, but draws readers in for an intimate look at journeys, experiences and cultures, through spoken word paired with stunning photography by Marvin Malzahn.

Smart Imagination is fortunate enough to have the foreword written by Chester Bennington, front man for Linkin Park and Dead By Sunrise. Chester Bennington is also co-owner of Club Tattoo, one of the largest tattoo-associated brands in the world. Bennington comments on Tattoo Stories, “The book is associated with a great charity, Starlight Children’s Foundation, and, anything that I can do to give back is always something that I’m interested in.” Smart Imagination has gained generous support by collaborations with Club Tattoo and leading tattoo shops and artists from around the world who are featured in the publication.

Corporate and medical professionals, students, artists, lawyers, and many more open their lives to readers in this coffee table book whose mission is two-fold: 1) To create awareness, break stereotypes and prevent controversy surrounding the art of tattoos, and open the doors to breaking judgments of people by their skin and not by their words; and 2) To benefit an A-rated charity working to help seriously ill children and their families cope with their pain, fear and isolation through entertainment, education and family activities.

The combined efforts of Smart Imagination and Starlight Children’s Foundation is the driving force behind Tattoo Stories. The partnership has created a baseline in the philosophy of work for future Smart Imagination projects. “Our goal is to have the opportunity to excel in fulfilling projects while dedicating resources to a worthy cause,” describes Marvin Malzahn, president and founder, Smart Imagination, of how Tattoo Stories embraces the vision of the company. Paula Van Ness, CEO, Starlight Children’s Foundation, says, “Working with Smart Imagination has opened a new creative avenue and demographic for Starlight that we couldn’t be more excited about.”

A minimum of $4 will be contributed to Starlight Children’s Foundation for every copy of Tattoo Stories sold on or before December 31, 2011, with a guaranteed minimum donation of $10,000. For information on where to purchase the book “Tattoo Stories,” please visit www.tattoostories.org .
