The new Reader offers a variety of security options including biometric, PIN and optional PKI challenge-response authentication for increasing or decreasing the level of security, depending on the user’s requirements. The TrustPoint 3-Factor Biometric Reader contains SecuGen’s PIV compliant fingerprint OEM module, the SDA04, and is the only device of its kind that is Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) compatible. It is designed to authenticate Personal Identity Verification (PIV) credentials and mitigate electronic cloning. Attackers who otherwise could make a copy of a PIV credential and then build a clone will not be able to do so when BridgePoint’s TrustPoint 3-Factor Biometric Reader is in-place.
