KIRKLAND, Wash., April 18, 2013 (SEND2PRESS NEWSWIRE) — An updated workplace guide, announced today, describes the tax, productivity, and other benefits of adding the “missing link” to employee benefit packages: long-term care insurance. Titled “Long Term Care Outreach and Education Program,” the 12-page guide is published by LTC Financial Partners, LLC (LTCFP), one of America’s most experienced long-term care insurance agencies.

“For many organizations, the tax advantages alone can make a difference of hundreds to hundreds of thousands of dollars a year, depending on their size,” says Denise Gott, LTCFP’s National Sales Manager. “Our updated guide explains why.”

Businesses have the choice of providing the tax-favored insurance just for the owners and their spouses and dependents; or to key individuals (in an “executive carve out”); or to all employees.

The guide details the advantages and requirements of each option. The organization may choose to pay all, some, or none of the premiums. When employees pay, they generally enjoy a group rate and simplified underwriting. The tax benefits apply, in varying ways, to sole proprietorships, partnerships, C-corporations, S-corporations, limited liability companies, charities and other non-profits including associations.

Beyond tax savings, the guide describes bottom-line business benefits ranging from employee satisfaction and retention to increased “presenteeism” and productivity. “Having LTC insurance puts employees at ease, knowing there’s a way to pay for care without jeopardizing their 401k’s,” says Gott. “They can focus on work instead of worrying about an incapacitated family member.”

LTC insurance, traditionally purchased by individuals on their own, is fast becoming a workplace product. The average age of applicants has been trending downward, from the mid 60′s to the mid 50′s. “Younger people, still vital in the workforce, are seeing the value,” says Gott. “So are their employers.”

KIRKLAND, Wash., March 13, 2013 (SEND2PRESS NEWSWIRE) — Considering long-term care insurance? Tax time may be a good time to move your decision to the front burner, because the premiums of many policyholders may be subsidized by tax deductions or credits. So says Denise Gott, National Sales Manager of LTC Financial Partners, LLC (LTCFP), one of America’s most experienced long-term care insurance agencies.

For the 2013 tax year, federal tax deduction limits range from $360 to $4,550, depending on age. “So if you get a policy now, you could start the subsidy ball rolling for years to come,” says Gott.

Over the lifetime of many policies, “Cumulative deduction claims can amount to several thousand, even more than $100,000,” says Gott.

Already have long-term care insurance? Remember to make your claim on this year’s return, due April 15. For the 2012 tax year, the deduction limits range from $350 to $4,370, depending on age.

The states are getting into the subsidy act too. Already more than half offer additional incentives for owning LTC insurance. These usually take the form of state tax deductions or rebates. “Check with your local LTC insurance specialist for policy options and any incentives available in your area,” says Gott.

LTCFP does not offer tax advice but teams with accountants and other tax experts to help their clients get all the deductions or other benefits available to them.

The following LTC specialists are available to help, providing information on incentives that may be available for individuals and business owners in specific locations:

KIRKLAND, Wash., Feb. 13, 2013 (SEND2PRESS NEWSWIRE) — Until recently, long-term care financing has been offered to Americans primarily in the home; and the means of financing has been limited to LTC insurance, for the most part. That’s no longer so with LTC Financial Partners, LLC (LTCFP), one of America’s largest and most experienced LTCi agencies.

The company is expanding aggressively into the worksite market by forming alliances with employee benefit brokers. And in the consumer market, LTCFP now offers alternative products to support plan design — products such as annuities, reverse mortgages, and life insurance with LTC riders.

The company is, in effect, increasing the size of its “store” and the breadth of its selection. The move, perhaps a bellwether for the industry, solves two big problems for millions of longer-living Americans.

First, LTC insurance has been much less available than regular health insurance, since only the latter is widely available as an employee benefit. “With our partners, we’re starting to change that,” says Cameron Truesdell, CEO of LTCFP. “We’re out to make LTC protection a common benefit choice, just like medical or dental.”

Second, long-term care insurance isn’t right for everyone, and not all can meet the health requirements. “Millions are left out,” says Truesdell. “So we’re becoming a one-stop shop with something for everyone.”

Truesdell points out that good health is not a requirement for reverse mortgages, which can be a tax-favored source of cash to pay for care. So can life insurance policies with long-term care riders, he says. And for people wealthy enough to self-insure, annuities can be a vital part of estate planning, with funds earmarked for care, if needed, or for other uses.

LTCFP’s reverse mortgage, annuity, and life insurance businesses are in their infancy but growing rapidly. Ditto for the worksite business, according to Truesdell. “By the end of 2013, we expect over half our volume to come from employee benefit programs.”

The following LTCFP specialists are available to answer questions about LTC financing for individuals or employee groups. In addition, they can advise on payment alternatives including reverse mortgages, annuities, and life policies with LTC riders.

KIRKLAND, Wash. (SEND2PRESS NEWSWIRE) -- Today LTC Financial Partners, LLC (LTCFP) announces an alliance with Alternatives for Seniors, the leading senior housing and services online directory.

KIRKLAND, Wash., Jan. 9, 2013 (SEND2PRESS NEWSWIRE) — Today LTC Financial Partners, LLC (LTCFP) announces an alliance with Alternatives for Seniors, the leading senior housing and services online directory.

“Together our two companies will ease the transition to senior living, which usually involves a host of stressful lifestyle and financial adjustments,” says Cameron Truesdell, CEO of LTCFP.

Alternatives for Seniors will offer information for comparing and choosing among senior living facilities, nursing centers, and home care services, and will facilitate contact with the appropriate communities/services as needed.

LTCFP will offer help in planning for long-term care though long-term care insurance and alternative instruments such as reverse mortgages, annuities, and life policies with LTC riders.

“We are delighted to be working with LTCFP,” says Anita Kremer, President of Alternatives for Seniors. “We hope to be able to greatly assist LTCFP’s clients with senior living and care information, whether for themselves or a family member. With modern families often spread across great distances, it is difficult to explore options for elderly relatives and stressful to decide on appropriate measures for care.”

Alternates for Seniors provides free personal assistance and resources to families to help them understand options and make the search for the appropriate alternative for their needs as easy as possible.

KIRKLAND, Wash. (SEND2PRESS NEWSWIRE) -- Why are some middle-aged Americans buying long-term care insurance (LTCi) for their aging parents?

KIRKLAND, Wash., Dec. 12, 2012 (SEND2PRESS NEWSWIRE) — Why are some middle-aged Americans buying long-term care insurance (LTCi) for their aging parents? It’s partly because Mom and Dad may need help with the tasks of daily living, but can’t afford a policy to pay for it, according to Denise Gott, National Sales Manager of LTC Financial Partners, LLC (LTCFP).

It’s also because the kids don’t want to end up paying the bills out of savings, jeopardizing their own retirement, or to disrupt their lives to tend to Mom or Dad personally.

There’s a deeper motivation for the gift of LTCi, though. “The grown kids want to give back to those who gave them so much,” says Gott. “This was pointed out by one of our senior specialists, Paula Taylor of Oakland, CA.”

According to Taylor and Gott, the grateful children express their feeling in many deeply-felt ways.

For example:

* “My father put me through school, and I will take care of him now so he can spend his remaining years at home.”

* “Mom taught me so much, how to play the guitar and read before other kids knew how. Dad taught me to raise and pluck chickens, shoot a gun safely, and own up to my mistakes. They never neglected me, and I’m not going to neglect them now.”

* “She changed my diapers, bandaged my fingers, kissed my bruises. I’m going to make sure she’s cared for too.”

* “They gave me the gift of life and everything that followed. I can give them a policy.”

For reasons of your own, the gift of long-term care might be worth considering whether you celebrate Christmas, Hanukkah, or another end-of-year holiday. But, “it may be an invaluable gift any time of year,” says Gott.

So do older family members with disabilities. But human TLC is seldom handy 24/7. That’s where a warm, fuzzy toy animal can make a difference. On Monday, November 12, 250 of them are being donated to Ronald McDonald House Charities® (RMHC®) of Greater Las Vegas by LTC Financial Partners, LLC (LTCFP), one of America’s largest and most experienced long-term care insurance agencies. Sixteen of the toys are lifelike robotic cats capable of responding to a child’s movements.

“The idea is to help kids on the mend as well as grandma, grandpa, mom or dad, who may also need a little cheering up,” says Denise Gott, LTCFP’s National Sales Manager. “We chose Ronald McDonald House as the ideal recipient to distribute the gifts, because of their focus on bringing families together during a child’s medical emergency.”

A sampling of the cuddly toys have been on display at the LTCFP booth at the Tenth National Long Term Care Insurance Producers Summit, November 10-12, 2012, at the Las Vegas Tropicana Hotel. On November 12, the toys are being taken to Ronald McDonald House for later distribution to families traveling to Las Vegas with a child needing care.

During the conference, long-term care expert and spokesperson Dr. Marion Somers (known as “Dr. Marion” on radio, TV and in the press) has been on hand to answer questions and explain the therapeutic effects toy animals can have on people of all ages. Dr. Marion is also scheduled to appear on Las Vegas television Monday morning.

The gifting event takes place during “Long-Term Care Awareness Month,” which is November each year.

KIRKLAND, Wash., Oct. 22, 2012 (SEND2PRESS NEWSWIRE) — Has the government got your back on long-term care (LTC), or not? Are the odds small or great that you or a family member will ever need LTC? How safe is a “wait-and-see” approach to the issue? These key questions are addressed in an online quiz from LTC Financial Partners, LLC (LTCFP), one of America’s largest and most experienced long-term care insurance agencies.

The quiz, available at http://ltcfp.com/2012poll/quiz.html takes only 60 seconds. The answers, which may be eye-opening to many, immediately follow. Then further information may be requested by phone from licensed LTC specialists, which are available for every state.

“Insurance protection may be recommended for many but not all,” says Denise Gott, LTCFP’s National Sales Manager. She points out that LTC insurance is not the best solution for people in certain situations, who may benefit from other forms of protection.

“Our experts are happy to answer any questions,” she says. “A short, information-only chat is fine with them.” She adds that when LTC insurance is appropriate, estimates of policy costs may also be requested.

KIRKLAND, Wash., Sept. 18, 2012 (SEND2PRESS NEWSWIRE) — Today LTC Financial Partners, LLC (LTCFP) announces a straw poll to let people guess the cost of long-term care insurance, immediately learn what others think, and then get actual numbers from an expert by phone. The poll and follow-up information are designed to correct a misconception that may be leaving most Americans unnecessarily unprotected.

According to industry estimates, “only about 8 percent to 10 percent of consumers who could benefit from LTC insurance have it,” says Denise Gott, LTCFP’s National Sales Manager. “This is in stark contrast to the need.” According to the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, about 70 percent of Americans over 65 will need long-term care at some point. And Medicare, in spite of widespread assumptions, is not designed to cover more than a small fraction of the costs.

“The false Medicare assumption plus the perception of high cost may be holding millions back,” Gott observes.

The straw poll is available at http://www.ltcfp.com/LTCI-cost-poll/ .

After guessing the average cost of a typical policy, visitors may view the aggregate estimate to date. Then they may ask a local expert for actual cost quotes for their location, age, and circumstances. “Many will be very pleasantly surprised,” says Gott.

KIRKLAND, Wash., Aug. 13, 2012 (SEND2PRESS NEWSWIRE) — All Americans owe a debt of gratitude to those who work for a living. But what about our caregivers, who selflessly tend the disabled – helping them eat, bathe, go to the bathroom, dress? Our society could not function without caregivers, yet we give them short shrift when handing out thank-you’s. To rectify this, LTC Financial Partners, LLC (LTCFP) proposes a Labor Day token of thanks.

“It doesn’t have to be fancy or costly,” says Denise Gott, LTCFP’s National Sales Manager. “Just some token to those who have helped you or someone in your family. Labor Day is the perfect time for it.”

The token could be:
* A greeting card,
* Flowers, or a single rose,
* An edible treat,
* A framed picture of the person they’re helping,
* A simple phone call, or
* In-person thanks with a hug.

“The main thing is to let the caregiver know you care about them and truly appreciate all they do, delivered in a spirit of devotion,” Gott says.

Some caregivers are low-paid professionals such as nurses and home-care aides. Most, numbering in the millions, are unpaid relatives of those needing care, mostly female, who sacrifice careers and personal lives. “Millions of men provide care services, too,” says Gott. “Chances are most us will become caregivers at some time. And most of us will need caregiving of some form eventually. So let’s get in the habit of showing our appreciation for this great labor of love.”

Gott’s organization makes life easier for unpaid caregivers (mostly family members) by providing funds for professional care through affordable long-term care insurance. This allows breadwinners to maintain family income and lifestyle.

But what about long-term care insurance, which covers in-home, nursing-home, and assisted-living care – expensive services scarcely addressed by regular insurance or Medicare? That issue remains as head-scratching as ever, according to LTC Financial Partners, LLC (LTCFP), one of America’s most experienced long-term care insurance agencies.

So, what to do? “The best bet — for any individual, family, company, or group – is to talk with an LTCI specialist about their particular situation,” says Denise Gott, LTCFP’s National Sales Manager. She recommends asking five key questions:

1. “Based on our health history, what are the chances any of us will ever need long-term care?”

2. “In our financial situation, is Medicaid a viable care option?”

3. “What are the pros and cons of relying on savings, life insurance, or reverse mortgages to pay for care?”

4. “In our case, following the court’s decision, how do federal and state laws affect tax breaks or other LTC-related benefits?”

5. “Given all the facts about us, is LTC insurance the best bet, and what does it cost?”
