Oil & Gas: Newfoundland’s Got It, New England Needs It

The potential for vast energy supplies in Newfoundland and Labrador to meet New England’s future energy demand will be among the topics discussed by the Province’s Premier, Danny Williams in Providence this week.

The event is hosted by the New England-Canada Business Council, formed in 1981 to bring together businesses and individuals with an interested in New England-Canada political, business and cultural ties.

Premier Williams, who is leading a trade mission of Newfoundland and Labrador companies to New England, will also discuss opportunities for greater trade between the regions, particularly in the high technology and marine technology sectors. Williams, a successful businessman turned public servant, has made building a stronger economy and development of oil, gas and hydro-electric resources a priority for his province.
