Audio Tour Publishers Announce Special Christmas Market Maps of Two Beloved Cities in Germany

MUNICH, Germany, Nov. 28 (SEND2PRESS NEWSWIRE) — AudioTravel has unveiled a special free service for the 2006 Christmas season. The company, which, since last year, has enjoyed increasing success with its audio-guided tours (on CD, or as an mp3 download) of both Munich and Cologne, invites visitors and natives of Germany alike to make use of its inventive set of Christmas market maps for both of those cities at www.audiotravel.com/christmas.

audio travel“At our site,” says AudioTravel founder Dina Hagl, “travelers to one of the world”s great Christmas capitals will almost smell the tantalizing scent of baked apples, gingerbread and hot mulled wine, or Gl’hwein, as we call it here.”

Indeed, a visit to the AudioTravel Website does bolster the holiday spirit: Falling, cyber snowflakes accent highlighted locations that, with the simple touch of the cursor, reveal such pertinent market information as location, dates and times and how to get there on public transportation. Information on each city’s top sights to see also dot the maps. And, it seems, AudioTravel’s generosity doesn’t end there: The maps are also available as a free download.

Naturally, the young company hopes that once its audience has reached the Christmas markets, they will be armed with a copy of AudioTravel’s city tour. Given rave reviews by Munich Found magazine and the focus of enthusiasm in the German business publication Starting Up, the audio tracks, says Hagl, “Allow travelers to learn about the landscape, legends and culture without being tied to a schedule.” Because, Hagl says, she herself tried out and “tweaked” the tours along with her husband, Richard, and her team of city-savvy testers, “Our customers will hear tidbits about the cities that even the locals don”t know!”

Along with a detailed city map, the accompanying guide booklet contains tips on restaurants, cafes, shopping, public transportation, museums and more.
